Pito Solo: La Magia del Porro.
Elio Francisco Ramos Guerra (Pito Solo), nació en (1922-2014), en un corregimiento de San Pelayo llamado La Madera, un pueblo pujante agrícola y maderable, de este entorno surgen los nombres de sus primeras bandas musicales en la que resaltamos; La Guarapera que hace alusión a la empresa más importante que tuvo el pueblo: la siembra y corte de caña, la producción de guarapo y panela.
Y La Chiminico, que hacía alusión a un tipo de arroz que se sembraba en la zona. En estas dos bandas hizo sus primeros pinitos este gran juglar Pelayero.
Familia de Tito Guerra, heredaría el amor por la música, salía en burro a tomar clases de música a Ciénaga de Oro, comenzó a tocar en sextetos, luego le cogería el gusto a viajar por la región buscando armar su propio camino, de ahí hizo parte de la banda de Purísima, de La Doctrina.
Luego creó un grupo propio de fusión entre banda y orquesta, hasta que Delia y Manuel Zapata Olivella lo descubren y lo invitan a ser parte de sus presentaciones llevando sus raíces y el Porro por Colombia y el Mundo.
Nunca dejó de tocar su instrumento preferido, el clarinete y la flauta, cuando no los tenía a la mano, hacia unos de tubo de PVC, hoy con seguridad en el cielo sigue esparciendo las notas de los más bellos porros golpeándose el pecho exclamando soy Pelayero.

Elio Francisco Ramos Guerra (Pito Solo), was born in (1922-2014), in a district of San Pelayo called La Madera, a thriving agricultural and timber town, from this environment the names of his first musical bands emerge, in which we highlight; La Guarapera, which refers to the most important company that the town had: the planting and cutting of cane, the production of guarapo and panela.
And La Chiminico, which referred to a type of rice that was grown in the area. In these two bands this great minstrel Pelayero made his first steps.
Tito Guerra's family, he would inherit the love for music, he would go out on a donkey to take music classes in Ciénaga de Oro, he began to play in sextets, then he would get the taste of traveling around the region looking for his own path, from there he made part of the Purísima band and that of La Doctrina.
Then he created his own fusion group between band and orchestra, until Delia and Manuel Zapata Olivella discovered him and invited him to be part of their presentations, taking his roots and Porro through Colombia and the World.
He never stopped playing his favorite instrument, the clarinet and the flute, when he didn't have them on hand, he played some made of PVC pipe. Today, safely in the sky, he continues to spread the notes of the most beautiful joints, hitting his chest exclaiming, I am Pelayero. .
