My vanquish 540 impressed me last night at the beach...It performed flawlessly with no chatter on the salt wet sand even with sensitivity set high!....It surprised me on it's depth capability too!...This machine ain't no joke!..It worked just as good as my Equinox at the beach!....I hunted in all metal mode....It's easy to distinguish iron and non-ferrous that way!

@@pittsburghcoinhunting1452 I haven't experienced that with mine yet!....I had Iron bias set to low setting and I would get grunting over small iron and mixed high tone with grunting for larger iron. It followed up with ID #'s all over the place from plus to minus!.....Maybe because terrain differences for you and I ?.....Though you are faced having to deal with more iron than me. I have to deal mostly with aluminum trash.

Wow. Pounded by CTXs and e-tracs, but now it has been Vanquished. I had been thinking of trying out a Simplex. Have enough saved up for it. Use mostly equinox currently, e-trac before that. Watching Darnell and others pick up the Simplex and immediately find silver was encouraging. But that was all on new ground. Seeing you do this on pounded ground totally changed my mind. I have a place that's given me over 75 silvers now with my previous 2 machines. Five blocks from home, been there 100s of times, I love it. I can still pull one old coin an hour out of there with the equinox. You've convinced me to see what a Vanquish can do. Congrats on being the first going out to that spot and getting what the others couldn't get without that machine! Thanks for sharing.

Save your money, you won't find anything with the vanquish or the simplex that the equinox won't find. You will be digging more garbage with those other detectors especially the simplex. They are only good for the price, but nothing special.

Truly amazing, getting what others couldn't without the Vanquish. The depth is amazing as it appears here to be.

@@depthspader8820 DEPTHSPADER I did a couple more hours researching before coming back here and finding your comment. It looks like you are probably correct. I guess it'll find things the CTX and e-trac have missed but still may not outperform the equinox. Dang it. I was hoping for some cheap, yet new technology to refresh some of my old spots.

@@depthspader8820 I'm not so sure about that!.....I bought the Vanquish 540 for a backup machine to my Nox and I'll be damn....it nearly perform as good as my Nox on the wet salt beach!.....The depth it got blew me away!.....NO chatter at all and had sensitivity setting all the way up......I was fully impressed!....My partner had the Nox with him and I used the Vanquish.....long story short we both averaged the same amount of finds but, ironically I had more of the quality finds....This detector is no joke!

Yeah the Vanquish it's like a simplified Equinox. I watched a video from iffy signals recently and hes in his test Garden . the Vanquish was actually hitting some of the deep targets with a more solid repeatable tone then with the equinox. But they are both incredible machines if by chance the Vanquish gets a little more depth I believe it's only because it has a 12in coil compared to the 11 in on the equinox. Can't speak for the Safari but, I owned the Etrac. The Etrac ID accuracy is better but that's really it!...I believe The multi series has a little more of an edge on depth at the beach over FBS machines though! That's just from my experience!...The new Vanquish is a good performer and value.....It made a believer out of me!

Thanks for watching. The multi-frequency in the new minelab's is definitely Cutting Edge from my experience so far it definitely gets more depth than the FBS from the E Trac . I've been running the E trac for 10 years. I think the only difference is the full band Spectrum discriminates iron better than the multi-frequency. Best of luck. HH. JOE.

I've heard that black oxidized area of the soil creates a halo that helps the signal come in stronger. I've noticed on my land ranger pro . I get 8' depth in my yard testing but 10' in the field bc the coins I bury practicing do not have the black halo. Anybody else heard that?

Yeah the signal is a little stronger because of the Halo after being in the ground for so many years. The higher sensitivity you get out of your machine the more depth you can get. So far on the Vanquish my deepest coin is a 13 inch deep Indian Head Cent. All the best. HH. JOE.

Excellent job with that Vanquish Joe. You mentioned that you were using the iron bias. Were you using the default high setting, or the low setting with the iron bias indicator (nail)? Also, which camera are you using for the video, GoPro? If so, which model? Thanks, Otto...

Thanks Mike! Honestly your best bet is to probably grab the Minelab Vanquish 540. The machine is incredible I've been using it and finding a lot of good stuff. Going serious detecting website they have nice package deals that come with pinpointers and shovels and hand diggers. Best of luck. HH. JOE.

good hunt Pittsburgh, but my guess is those coins were missed by humans not the machines. everyone always gives credit to the machines for finding the things that better detectors missed, but they just didn't do a thorough enough job detecting . You can go over and over a spot and everything from direction your swinging to the speed of the swing changes what you will find. All the best my friend and keep on swinging!!! 👍👍

Thanks! Yeah I understand I've personally hit that spot with the CTX and the E-trac well over a hundred times. Those machines will make so much noise and you can't run them any higher then 1/2 sensitivity. The Vanquish I was able to run it full sensitivity and completely silent. so I was able to pick up all the signals that were Too Deep the reach because of the lower sensitivity. I think Sebastian hunted that spot when he was in town he could tell you how the ground is there. All the best my friend. Goodluck to you. HH. JOE.

Yeah the Vanquish is definitely a good machine. Pics up a little more iron than I would like but it gets great depth and ive found a good bit of silver and gold with it already. It's about half the cost of the Equinox 800. I liked it enough to buy one so I would definitely recommend it to you. All the best. HH. JOE.

I believe Relic mode gets the deepest. I use jewelry mode most of the time and I have dug coins up to 12 inches down . Target's that are really deep have jumpy vdi numbers but the tone is always consistent. Best of luck. JOE.
