WTF are you talking about? This is literally the definition of a newsworthy story.

So lets see, Pittsburgh police will be barely staffed from 3 to 7 am. Will this be the same for the fire department? Or will they be sent as the de facto police cuz they are working?
@yeoldeseawitch5 ай бұрын
we can assume that the fire dept will be as useless as the cops

It's Spartan, not Spencer.
@NealB1235 ай бұрын
No, it's Spencer. They were built by Spencer Manufacturing in Michigan on a Spartan chassis. Spartan builds complete fire engines but they also sell chassis to a lot of small fire apparatus manufacturing companies such as Spencer that builds the rest of the truck. Spartan built the drive-to-the-fire bits. Spencer built the fight-the-fire bits.

Isn’t this the same company that the chief use to sell for and already got caught not accepting low bid to buy trucks from them?

He is a democrat, and you are right on the money, but don't the news media, they are busy worrying about Trump
@dbyers38975 ай бұрын
This is the same chief but he worked for Keystone Fire Apparatus in FL over 20 years ago. He was cleared of the charge he had rigged the bids in favor of Keystone. This company is Spencer Fire Trucks in Michigan.

@@sgtsims512 Let's take it easy since no one wants to throw accusations where there's no evidence. This man has served the city since 2007 & has since had additional responsibilities added to his job. No one cares what political party he may be registered with.

Does that mean the city is going to stop buying used fire trucks from the volunteer fire companies around the city?
@freddielemonheadsimmons5 ай бұрын
Actually there is a Spencer fire truck place in Michigan that makes spartan fire apparatus
@dbyers38975 ай бұрын
Spartan chassis are built by Spartan Motors in Charlotte, MI near Lansing then sold to other manufacturers who build on the pump house & body. Spencer Fire Trucks is located in South Haven, MI on Lake Michigan. Separate companies.

You can clearly see the “Spartan” badge on these new trucks in the video…

@@tylermacconnell217 I may not have phrased what I meant correctly. Not arguing the fact that it’s a spartan, I was just saying the Spencer place was like the final builder. Kinda like Siddons Martin with pierce.
@tylermacconnell2175 ай бұрын
Thanks for the clarification. You are correct; I initially thought Spartan made the whole apparatus but in this case just the cab and chassis.

Low budget apparatus.
@trvman15 ай бұрын
because they probably have a ridiculous LOW budget.
@mattsharkey3115 ай бұрын
Yeah, they’re more affordable than some other options but they’re not low budget. It’s probably the best they can get with their limited resources.

Pittsburgh Fire Chief is a true product of DEI and Affirmative Action. Just ask to see the paperwork on the bid process for the new apparatus.

more Pittsburgh tax dollars down the drain. Can't wait for these to not be used 90% of the time.
@CPR123455 ай бұрын
What the f*** are you talking about?
@yeoldeseawitch5 ай бұрын
@@CPR12345 firefighters like to buy expensive-ass vehicles that they'll only use like twice in its entire service life. until it becomes outdated, and they have to purchase MORE expensive equipment and the cycle repeats.
@CPR123455 ай бұрын
That is not even anywhere close to being true. 🙄🤬🤡
