I’ve been listening to your song for about 6 or 7 years now. It’s a song that has always comforted me, especially during moments when I feel sad and remember my girlfriend, who tragically passed away due to COVID in 2020. We had been together for 8 years, and after graduating from high school, I was planning to go to America to be with her. But life had other plans. I couldn’t make it there, and then I received the devastating news from her parents that she had passed away. That loss pushed me into a deep depression. But in the darkness, I held on to the words she once said to me before she left: ‘Whatever happens, it’s not your fault. Don’t blame yourself for being late to propose to me.’ I had already bought a ring for us, a symbol of our love, meant to show the world how much she meant to me. Though I never got the chance to place it on her finger, I placed it on her grave instead, showing her world that my love for her endures. Whenever this song plays, it reminds me to honor her memory by moving forward and striving to become a better version of myself. It inspires me to keep going, even when it’s hard.
