In a deadlock Game 6 and what seemed like overtime was coming, Pius Suter scored the game winning goal on Saros to send the Canucks to Round 2! Saros had Suter’s number but he finally capitalized!

I’ve never experienced a crowd that loud in my entire life, absolutely unreal experience. So glad the organization’s stepped up and given Vancouver a viewing party after the mayor was unwilling to do his job, this is an amazing initiative.

Viewing parties at the arena is normal no? They sell viewing party seats in the arena when the team is away. Same with all other NHL teams during playoffs. Wouldn't call it stepping up

I also wouldn't criticize the city government too much given that Vancouver citizens have definitely rioted after losses.
@ajbolt7Ай бұрын
@@pneudmatic Vancouver’s not unique in having had riots before. If you actually look at 2011, a complete and utter breakdown of any sort of public event management is the central factor behind it reaching that extent. It’s the job of the local government to address that shit, to plan ahead and take measures for it. It was neglect and outright incompetence last time. And this time the mayor won’t do his fucking job.

They were commentating. It just wasn’t audible here because Rogers Arena was so freakin loud

Not too big an issue, but that goal song really doesn't pump you up about having scored. But the goal alone usually should do that, so whatever.
@ajbolt7Ай бұрын
I will say I was extremely critical of the goal song and remained so for a long time BUT once I got to a game my opinion shifted. It still sounds like crap on tv but being in the arena and singing along to it with everyone after a beer or 2 while celebrating a goal is fantastic. The in-person experience is what makes it. Also they played Holiday in the arena after the game ended while the handshake was going and it was absolutely incredible, still wish they’d go back to that even if Simple Minds has grown on me

that song is so lame. play something that sounds like a champion not some la la weak garbage. Stop being Emo. (and lose the Boston colored uniform)
