I love my Pivo. I bought it in 2020 after watching one of your early videos. I think they are a fab company, always quick to reply to any problems and updating the app as customers make suggestions. When I first got my Pivo silver it would loose me several times in a 20 min ride, but I’d get enough footage to pop things on instagram (and I was happy with that) I now use it to film dressage tests for online competitions as well as schooling sessions and it very rarely looses me. (In a 20x40 grass school with it positioned at C)

I bought an adapter with the silver that worked in the past with a camera. I’ve not used my Pivo in a couple of years. Thanks for inspiring me to get it going. We are recovering from colic surgery a week ago. So it will be awhile. (WE is literal…I didn’t have the surgery of course, but I FEEL like I did.) I have plenty of time to sort out all the fun stuff we can do again in February!.

Thanks Rhi for such a great overview of the pros and cons of the PIVO. I wish everybody else would do things like this. I’ve struggled with mine to keep my horse in the picture when I zoom in. Your helpful tip about keeping it in the max frame and then cropping it once you’re finished is what I’ll do from now on. I was just a bit sceptical about the quality of the footage if I cropped it afterwards. Thank you so much once again for being so open and informative about such a useful little tool. Please keep sharing all your tips. 😊

Thank you for the feedback! You will lose some of the quality when you crop in after, I can’t deny that, but I’ve found it to be relatively acceptable. Hi is the Pivo lite any good just for lesson and progress on tracking I’m not a content creator or is it just worth getting the silver

I’m not 100% sure, I’ve not used the light but I think they don’t recommend the lite for riding. You could ask in the Facebook group?

Have you had any issues with the app crashing?

Hmmm.. not to my knowledge, but I have had occasions where I've gotten off the horse and it's not recorded, usually down to a storage or battery issue. If you're facing a specific issue, the Facebook group is really great at troubleshooting and the Pivo team are really active in it!

Interesting. Personally, I'm not interested in this device for equestrian use, but I have other possible applications. My question......does it work with Android? Having seen other products used by equestrians, I looked them up, and they only used iPhone. That's a bit limiting for those of us without iPhone.

Theres a pivo group on FB, quite a few have android and it works but it depends on the actual phone and how good the camera is
