Thanks for putting together this video. It was great to have you guys visit the finished office!

The engineering and technology that goes into the concept, development and production is nothing short of amazing. When people talk and balk about the cost of bikes, they only see an end product, not what it takes to put it all together with the talent, machines and overhead. Great tour Bernard.

So interesting looking at how much work goes into each bike and as for Bill in engineering, what a human, an absolute genius, i sure hope he is paid well for his knowledge and know how.

Really glad you went into some of the mould-making details. I remember when Titus were at the peak of their power a friend of mine saying that if Chris had touched it, then it was going to be 'done right'. He seems to have much more drive on the engineering side of things than other bike CEOs and this shows by how they've obviously taken absolute control of the design process - nothing left to chance. Soooo many details involved in a modern carbon bike. Kudos all round!

That makes a lot of sense... can think of other companies where founders are more marketing/biz type guys. Having engineering leadership is big.

I really enjoyed this video. A while ago, when I was looking for career opportunities after my PhD in Robotics, I wasn't sure where to work honestly. I ended up in research, but I think if I had seen this I would have been interested in working on bikes more. I like seeing the 3D printed work going on. It doesn't look scaled up yet, but as supply chains get stressed, I suspect more investment there could speed thing up a bit for Pivot (you can 3D print more than frames as well).

If you don’t already know, Atherton bikes handmake and 3D print all their bikes. Really interesting work that they do, definitely worth having a look at if you’re intrigued!

As above etc for all the awesome comments on the set up, technology, R&D, assembly and manufacturing. Awesome place. But … ok here it is … as someone that works in the building industry I found it really disappointing from a user point of view around their “space and place” and a nice place to work. Lack of natural light, offices tucked down corridors, no eye relief to out doors etc. I would have thought this kind of place could be reimagined somewhat as a really cool place to turn up to work that you would really relish the environment. There’s good design for buildings too people! Keep up the awesome work.

I think if you look at lifecycle (see what I did there) cost - and you ride 2-3 times a week (or more) - you get an awesome experience for a great value. I had a 2003 Scott Ransom for 13 years and it was stolen. I got a Mach 5.5 and I giggle every time I ride. Incredible machine. I’ve had it for 5 years and it is still amazing. Getting a bit older so the Shuttle is in the cross hairs. I only have one kid. 2 kidneys though. ;) Buy!

Great bike , rides smooth kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L I added a bigger spring loaded seat to it . Takes a bit of adjusting cables to get brakes and shifting to perfect . I've owned quite a few bikes in the past that were absolutely uncomfortable to ride and they always ended up as garage wall decor . I'm not seeing that with this one. It's pretty light I've only ridden it a few miles but I like it . As for the pedals falling off in the other reviews , the pedal arms are aluminum along with the pedal studs look to be also . I would not overtighten them. I can see it would be very easy to overtighten them and strip the threads right off . All in all I think it's pretty good quality besides the aluminum pedal thing .
