@@savelysavely2483 I saw a drone in Virginia about seven years ago with a wingspan about the size of a commercial airliner I would estimate. It had a row of lights on the underside that stretched across the wings that were white. Initially, it was at high altitude and basically looked like a star in the night sky, it rapidly descended in altitude until it was so close I could hear the rotors on it. It was incredibly loud. After several seconds, it rapidly ascended in altitude and again looked like a star. Last year I saw a drone in Maryland that was hovering over the highway, maintaining its position in a storm. It had three or four white lights on it and basically looked like a stick about the length of a private plane, but I couldn’t see clearly enough to tell if it had a body or was just a wing with no other features. I also could not tell whether or not it made noise.

Another drone pilot here-yes, he is right about the FAA going after drone pilots if they flew over military installations but the other issue is flying at night. The reporter obviously doesn't know the difference between hobbyist and military drones. What he is using is a DJI Mavic 3, a "camera drone" or "hobbyist drone". Commercial is more of a term depicting the scenario or application it's used for. You can take a toy off the shelf and use it in a commercial setting and it's then considered "commercial ". Honestly the term "drone" has lost its meaning. It use to be a military grade UAS. Some even call a robot a drone these days! Quad copter fits better for what this guy is flying. The FAA labels them as sUAS (small Unmanned Aircraft System).

The government has big drones that have like 90 lenses on them that take like a fisheye view All the lenses work together for one image also they have very good thermal and night vision on them .very high resolution and then they can zoom up on the images that they take very wide field of view You know like those security cameras with the fisheye lenses even though something's in the corner you can zoom up on it. Almost like an in atmosphere satellite that kind of resolution. I saw a video on it about 8 years ago and now I can't find the video so if their technology was that good then just think what it is now (As I remember one of the taglines in the video was you cannot hide)
