I love this show, and I know it's not canon, but it just blows my mind that all this stuff in the outside world happens around the same time there's a political struggle between animals in Africa. I try not to think about it too hard, and then I see a Lion Guard cartoon where Timon and Pumbaa somehow know about the human holiday of Christmas. So... maybe it isn't as not canon as I thought.

No doubt, but it's still such a weird disconnect, especially when they actually have episodes that take place in the world of the movie. I dunno. I still find that Lion Guard episode where they know about Christmas more baffling and out of place because they were trying to have a parallel canon to the original film..

Replace 4 with 3 and your fine,toy story 3 is pretty overrated. Toy story 4 does not even have big flaws,the only "big"flaws is the fact that buzz is dumbed down and the whole gang was barely in it,the gang has no reason to be in the movie,their arks were pretty much done,be grateful they at least had like 3-5 scenes,most are in the beginning,also,this is more of a woody movie,not a movie with the whole gang in it,you already have 3 movies with the gang in it,and I would say thats enough,like,there are no scenes in this movie that NEEDED the gang in it.Also,every toy story movie was about woody,toy story 4 continues that but takes it to the next level.Every toy story movie is pretty different from each other if you think about it,and this movie does the same. "OMG bUzz wAs dUmbed down"first of all,it does not ruin the movie,it's not like the whole movie is focused around buzz,and buzz was pretty delusional in the 3rd movie.Second of all,BUZZ got reset like 3 times,and got hit by a tv,that would be enough to damage his brain.
