I'm currently using the Pixel 6 i love it but it's about the pixel 4xl it was my first Google experience it holds a special place in my heart the pixel 4xl is still a great device to use in 2022 👍🏾

hey. im planning to get one (pixel 4xl) im just too afraid for the 2nd hand pre-owned devices so im getting the slim box (refurbished) 64 just black is my favourite because of the glossy back and looks cool anyways would you recommend me to get the refurbished one? would it be okay to use like the new ones cause it is refurbished by the google itself thats why im just curious to buy and its on my budget. would the gestures work? would i get the experience like the new device or its a bad idea!? will wait to hear it from you sirr. I purchased an Oh So Orange 🍊 128GB 4XL in December 2021 for $225. Battery life for me was just as good as my Pixel 2XL, 3a, & 4a. Although to this day I've never turned on the radar. Presently I'm running the most current Android 13 beta on it as my daily driver. 😎

Thanks for this review I always wanted a pixel but never got around to got one, I got this one on offer, and I'm waiting for it, I knew that the regular size was a no no, due to the battery size so I went with the XL hoping to get a better battery time. I'm a. It worried about this because right now I'm using a xiaomi mi note 10 which has a 1080p display and 5000mah battery, so it gives me like 7 hours screen on time... And I'm used to the phone lasting all day... We'll see how it goes

My pleasure Hal! I'm glad you enjoyed the review. Does the Mi note 10 has a 90hz refresh rate or more? If not you will really like the higher quality of the refresh rate and there is no coming back to 60hz after all in my opinion. I think you can get close to 5hs of screen on time with the 4XL but with moderate usage, and for a 3700ma battery that is pretty good but the 2hs you get with the xiaomi I know its some difference. I have a pixel 4xl i buy in December 2021 and i think the pixel 5 in 2022 is better... I love my pixel but i think the pixel 5 is a better choice now.

@@PRmarins I like the pixel 5 as well but the pixel 4 XL was the last flagship device (pixel 6 now) that Google launched. A few things to note that are different are: Snapdragon 855 vs 765, 1440p vs 1080p. The pixel 5 has a bigger battery and 8gb of ram but I really enjoyed the lidar sensor for face recognition and gestures. It really depends on what you prefer. It's a tough competition but tend to go with the pixel 4 XL. Great comment! I appreciate your comparison!

I have a pixel 6 and got a 4xl used yesterday, the 4xl is more in use now than the 6, because of the crappy fingerprint.

Wow is the fingerprint scanner that bad? I really prefer the pixel 4xl face recognition, even in the darkest room it opens up. I'm sorry to hear that about the pixel 6, but I'm glad you got the 4XL! Hopefully Goggle can fix that asap. Have you had a pixel before the 6?

I still highly recommend the Pixel 4 XL! The battery drains faster only if you are a heavy user, if not you should be fine with the battery! Go get one! You won't regret!

@@GuiCabral_ I was gonna get one but I got a Oneplus 8 instead. However, I am going to get a Pixel 4xl for my second line to replace my iPhone 7. I absolutely love the design of P4xl over any phone, battery is just a big deal for me at least on my primary device. So that's what did it for me!

most pixel 4 xl i find to buy are "new" costs around $300 and come from china, are they all fake or is it a genuine model that price dropped because it is discontinued ? thanks

I wouldn't buy as a new phone because the Pixel 4 XL was released in October 2019. I would buy an used phone in good condition from your local market. I hope that helps!

@@GuiCabral_ makes a lot of sense but as there are clone in the wild i have a good chance that a "used" pixel 4 xl is also a fake. are these clones 100% hardware compatible (including using the same sony camera sensor) ? will it be recognised by applications as a genuine pixel phone ?

The security patches end in October 2022. So no it is not worth buying in 2022.

Yes, that is one of the issues but it's not the case that you won't be protected.

No, all the apps would still get updates as normal but the android system would not be updated for security patches and new functionalities.

its been discontinued because its too good of a phone lol. If you have a pixel 4xl, get a replacement battery while you can on amazon. Upgraded to a bigger 4200 battery and the phone lasts all day

Sim, sou brasileiro. Tudo bem? A bateria dura bastante mas depende de como vc usa o telefone. O screen on time (quando a tela está ligada ou em uso) eu pegava 4:30hs no máximo. No meu dia normal a bateria vai das 9 as 5, sem mexer muito. Espero ter ajudado, vc tem um Pixel? Abraço

@@Juninsr duas coisas pra cuidar eh bateria se vc usa o celular bastante durante o dia, se não usa muito a bateria dura o dia todo. Atualização de software vai até outubro só. Eu ainda recomendo pq eh um ótimo telefone. Melhor camera e o display eh sensacional. Abraço!
