@@joyce7550 selfies on my pixel 4 xl sucked because my face looked like itvwas swollen then in the camera setting i found a option to save selfies as previewed after turning on that the picture quality has improven a lot

Currently have a Pixel 4XL and still impressed with it coming from a 3XL. The optical zoom is a great addition. The 6 looks impressive too but waiting for the next iteration of the Tensor chip before moving to a newer Pixel. I expect some of the issues with the 6 will be ironed out on the 7 too. I like the face unlock on 4XL however most apps seem to use fingerprint for biometric authentication and from what I've read the 6 implementation of the fingerprint sensor is sub-par. Again this will hopefully be ironed out in 7.

I've noticed that if you attempt to setup biometrics in a lot of apps the face unlock can be added in place of the fingerprint. Just look in the apps settings for biometrics or fingerprints and attempt to set it up, it should substitute face unlock on the Pixel 4XL.

I'll keep my Pixel 4XL until they have a legitimate upgrade. The difference between those shots aren't worth losing face unlock or paying hundreds of dollars for nothing.

I'm a current Pixel 4XL and I've had mine for about a year and 7 months, but I was debating whether or not I should get the Pixel 6, but I've concluded that I still like the way the camera performs on the 4XL in comparison to the 6. I mainly wanted to switch because battery life on mine seems to deplete faster as time progresses, but for now I'm okay with that! Really appreciate you creating this video😌

@@dennisjohnston7967 I now own & have been using both. Can't decide which one to sell. Face unlock is so sorely missed on the 6! Specially for it to be replaced with such a fineky fingerprint sensor. Still not sure if the great battery life & a few extra features on the 6's camera/video is worth the upgrade. And the 4 has received all the recent pixel drops & patches (and is is running 12 flawlessly), while my 6 has yet to receive one! Let's see..

Upgraded to the 6 from the 4. Battery life is awesome and I'm loving all of the software improvements, especially voice typing. I do miss the smaller form factor of the 4, but so far the 6 has been amazing to use.

I was thinking to upgrade from 4xl to 6... Now I am not sure. My problems with my pixel were overheating and the battery life. After some updates, before Android 13, that situation improved, but I mean, really improved! No overheating, even with hardcore use, and the battery was amazing. Since I got android 13, I have some problems with battery again. I hope they fix that soon. I love my pixel 4xl

@@LOUISVILLECARDINALS i bought a Pixel 6 Pro and love it, got a Pixel 6 for free with trade in and its amazing. Im getting 8-9 hours screen on time on the Pixel 6 which is unheard of. The Pixel 6 Pro zoom is amazing though, while a bit lacking on the 6, but i really also like the flat display on the regular 6, but the speakers and vibration motor is a good bit better on the 6 Pro.

Love my Pixel 4XL, but I'm on my 4th [refurb] phone due to battery/connector failure! I've been quoted $200-$500 to fix the problem and/or replace the motherboard. I wouldn't think about upgrading to the Pixel 6 if it weren't for this.

I still own a 4 XL and have owned two 6 Pros... the 4 XL has some very minor burn in upper right, still going strong. The Sixes.. were trash. Started falling apart literally withing weeks, huge black spots, weird glitches ih the OS , got rid of them and just kept the 4 XL. The only downside to the aging 4XL is reduced battery life but I'm fine with that, just use it for photography... skip any Pixel 6 .. just trash.

The zoom shots weren't even in the same ballpark. The 4 destroyed it. I have the Pixel 6 Pro (upgraded from a Pixel 3) and I'm honestly not impressed with the zoom most of the time. I always get blurry shots. And when I try to do macro shots, they are super soft. In general, it seems like the shots are too soft. Video is nice, though.
