Pixel 6 Pro versus Honor Magic 4 Pro camera comparison

Pixel is better . It takes better fotos than magic 4pro , also takes better control of lights and does better video .

Pixel probably the best results but that has been out seven months so I suspect the Honor will get a few updates to correct some of the issues. ATM you may need to use the pro-mode to get the best out of it as it is blowing the highlights too much, at least on this test, other reviews were not as brightened. There is also some jerkiness and frame drops on the Honor video, but that is probably software related. It seems less noisy than the Pixel at night which is prone to poor quality in that respect, but with the poor ISO on the Honor I still prefer the Pixel on video in the auto mode. However the Honor has a movie app that has a feature called Magic-Log that allows 15 mins of video recording in RAW allowing you to make changes in post easily to rectify these issues. It also has color filters to adjust how the video looks. Also you can take photos whilst recording video. Look beyond auto-mode and the Honor is quite an impressive camera phone and I would prefer over the Pixel 6 Pro due to the rest of the package which clearly is better than the Pixel. These include best PWM reduction on the market, 90Hz option, LTPO 2.0, Gen 2 ultrasonic FP sensor, 100 watt fast charging, 100 watt wireless charging, 3D Face unlock (Pixel does not even have 2D), better chip, more efficient modem, case, charger and screen protector in the box, frame-rate booster, desktop mode like DeX, slo-mo, high-res macro, etc.

@@kona328WH I saw its review and it was half-baked and typical for reviews of Huawei/Honor. The software is fine, just not OneUI, the fav of AA. The camera is great most of the time but at night it needs work but that can easily be fixed in its pro-modes which allow RAW video. With the freebies on pre-order it is closer to £600 and that competes well. As for Android updates, my Mate 20X is still supported despite being from 2018.

I have the Google Pixel 6 Pro and I've been using it for about 4 months now. The only bad thing about the cameras on the pixel is the Ultrawide is considerably worse than the majoirty of ultrawides out there. Video is very grainier even in good lighting. When compared to the Honor Magic 4 Pro, Pixel wins overall but the Honor has a better ultrawide. I'm trading my Pixel 6 Pro in for the Pixel 7 Pro.

I think portrait pictures are so much better on the pixel and selfies too. The sky in the night is way better on the magic 4 pro, but some details on the cars are lost. Some things aren't sharp enough for a 50 MP camera... Maybe they fix it with some updates. The sound isn't the best on the Magic 4 Pro. It sounds a little bit like speaking trough a can. The Honor was my biggest hope for a new flagship that will send my P30 Pro for rent. I really hope there will be some updates for the sound and camera.

Personally think the Pixel 6 pro is better overall, especially at night for the main sensor and ultrawide. The only place I thought the Magic 4 pro did better was with the zoom lens

@@kona328WH Actually, it does. That's a mistake in this video. It switches at 4x. Check out Techtablets where you can clearly see it switching and the quality jumping. Maybe he didn't fo to 4x in this video. Actually the zoom video is really good quality. Very stable. Lowlight is the weak point

I was leaning towards the Honor but looking at your images and considering I can pick up a used Pixel 6 Pro for half the price of a new Honor, I'm veering back towards Google again....decisions decisions.

I'm pretty certain you have to go to x4 zoom to activate the telephoto lens 👍. Otherwise its just just digital zoom up to 3.5 zoom. Great video though.

It is clear that the Honor still has a long way to go in terms of updates, but I guess the Chinese devices already got a lot of those improvements. It's got a lot of potential though. We'll see how it evolves.

I've used neither phone but you've only got to look at the specs to come to that conclusion. the magic 4 pro is 100w fast charge so it'll fully charge from 0 to 100 in about 35 mins pixel will take over 1hr and battery life is rubbish on pixels I've had 3 pixel phones and battery has been very average

I disagree. The night shots on the Honor and brighter, but you can tell that the ISO is cranked up and a lot of the detail is lost in the shot.

The fact that the periscope zoom camera isn't capable of recording video makes it a bit of an odd choice for someone looking to pick up the best over all camera. These days, video is just as important or even more important than still photography and in that aspect, the Pixel has a clear lead.

@@phandroid I agree with you, just that I have a Pixel 6 Pro and I bought it after watching reviews. It's an absolute garbage. My pixel 4a 5g was also crap overall, but good pics, lame video. This one is even worse given the price. My wife has a Huawei P 40 Pro and it is better in all departments so I dare to say I've been scammed.

@@simioncatalin3803 am trecut de la Pixel 6 Pro la honorul asta si chiar e mai bun ca telefon in general. Mult mai customizabil si cu o tona de optiuni. Practic e un Huawei cu google. Asa ca le am pe ambele, nu am nevoie de ochelari. Dar da, la video are o problema. Desi imaginea e mai buna, din cand in cand sacadeaza...sper sa se rezolve cu un update. In rest, este mult mai complex si mai misto decat minimalistul de Pixel.

Pai cine își cumpără pixel , fix pt asta îl cumpără , pt că e un android pur pur , fara 1000 de aplicații din fabrica instalate pe telefon ....am avut telefoane de la Huawei ( honor e tot un Huawei sub acoperire ) pixel e cu mult mai fluent și rapid fata de competiție , singurul plus care îl au telefoane Huawei și implicit honor e faptul că stau bine la capitolul baterie...când vine vorba de camera , pixel scoate poze mult mai bune , ultimul Huawei avut a fost p40 pro , cu ăla trebuie sa fac mai multe poze că sa aleg după aia câteva care să iasă așa cum vreau eu...pixelul in schimb ..am mai multă siguranță că prima poza care o fac o sa fie ok..și nu trebuie mereu sa verific sa vad daca a ieșit clara , daca nu a supraexpus și a ars cerul , daca nu e prea întunecată ..așa cum trebuia sa verific la Huawei , pe camera, pixel nu are rival , iar pe partea video , iPhone nu are rival..e simplu

Seems like you haven't used one in quite a while. It's using a Snapdragon chipset rather than a Huawei-built SoC. And as far as the software goes, it honestly would be a better device if it WAS using Huawei's build of Android.

The Pixel 6 pro all day long does better. The Honor 4 pro has a washed out look and the night mode has a yellow tint. Video is better on Pixel 6 pro. The video on the Honor has so e lagging
