Pixel 8 Pro Review: How Bad Is It Google?

Expect some of these features to get better with software patches, annoying but fixable. I never use fingerprint or face unlocks, so no issue there for me. I agree about storage capacity, but it is what it is... I switched from Samsung to Pixel right at the end of the 3a's sale period in stores, right before the 4 came out. I just upgraded that 3a XL I got 3 years ago, to the 256gb Bay blue 8 Pro. I'm a casual user who enjoys professional features, and I expect to have this 8 Pro until the end of its update lifetime... My 3a XL is still going strong, but I wanted to upgrade the camera 😅

who tf asked for the temperature sensor.. how about sd card or headphone jack, to make it actually stand out in today's market. I have a 8 Pro and keep forgetting that it has that fking stupid sensor

The Temperature Sensor is the definition of useless - inaccurate and not even certified. What was the point? The rest of the phone looks solid though. Looking forward to grabbing one in a few months when the kinks have been ironed out.

I think they meant to use it on yourself if needed but couldn't get approval in time for launch? Good question🤣

I foresee the temperature sensor being the first step in enabling people to utilize their devices and AI to self-diagnose, eventually eliminating the need for doctors. With AI on board and enough sensors on the device, it's not impossible to think that they could make that a reality. With the proper technology and infrastructure in place, doctors could be eliminated, people could self-diagnose and receive medication directly from big pharma. Just another way for the establishment to get rid of homeopathic doctors. As far as accuracy goes, that can probably be patched, and they are awaiting FDA approval for the use of the sensors on human skin... As consumers everybody seems to think in the now, but leaders think in the future.

It's a great phone but has a few bugs the biggest bug I have noticed is always on display, doesn't always work, hope google will fix it soon
