Let us not forget that oneplus 9 and oneplus 10 phones across globe are dying with software updates. While it might sound value for money, I wouldn't trust a brand with so many issues to last long. Phones need to stay alive for atleast 3-4 years for that kind of money.

Samsung's 7 years of updates pledge is kind of misleading. Pixels are shipping full quarterly and monthly OS releases alongside the yearly ones. Google is shipping everything. Meanwhile Samsung will start to drop the update cadence to quarterly or biannual security updates. And even when they are up to date, they really only ship required security backports and not recommended patches included in the latest stable release of Android. So they miss out on hundreds of relevant security and privacy patches for around a year. And that is not including bugfixes outside the scope of security and privacy. Only time they catch up is when they manage to port a device in the same month as the general Pixel/AOSP release. Then they start to fall behind again.

For me the most complete package it's the OnePlus 12. For Battery (charging speed, battery life) size, slider, and processor. I like pixels but the storage UFS 3.1 and that they starts at 128 being more expensive than the OnePlus it's a deal breaker.

I had the oneplus 12 actually 2 of them at different times..Neither worked on verizon wireless. Apparently there was an update or something and it started to work on verizon? IDK? The phone itself is awesome but the customer support is absolutely the worse of all phone carriers. I also had some WIFI issues with it, other than that it was a great phone to me and it always has WAYYY better specs than samsung or google and crapple phones. Oh and the bonus is it comes with brick and charger and usually at a great price..Well a better price for what all you get.

Bruh, don't even comment if you haven't owned or at least tried the OnePlus 12. It is a very underrated phone. I come from a Pixel 8 Pro then the S24 Ultra. Been using the OnePlus 12 and couldn't be happier. Only cons are the video capturing and the software update is just a bit delayed. Other than that, it is a legit flagship killer and better than the S24 Ultra in some areas and it is a much better phone than the 8 Pro. Only thing better in the 8 pro is the camera and I'd say that it's still pretty close in the camera dept

I can appreciate the comparison but, it strikes me as a little strange. The pixel 9 series is equipped with the tensor G4 chipset which only produces 2.8 gigahertz per second; hi tier mid-range performance. Conversely, the OnePlus 12 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 generation 3 that produces 3.4 gigahertz per second; laptop level performance. To that end, the OnePlus 12 is a legitimate high tier flagship. On the other hand, the cosmetics of the pixel may look high-end but, under the hood it's nothing more than the run of the mill mid-ranger. Frankly, if Google would drop the price of their devices by about $300 they wouldn't be out of line. However, for the price is they're charging, I'm looking past them and purchasing either a Samsung Galaxy s20 for ultra or the OnePlus 12. Perhaps, comparing the Google pixel 9 Pro to a device like the Samsung Galaxy a55 would be more appropriate?

Pixel 9 Pro is already a bit too large to my liking, but at least Google managed to cram its flagship phone (Pro XL) into a smaller package (slightly smaller battery, but that's it). For me there really isnt a thing call the perfect phone in this market right now, my top pick is always between iphone pro max series or samsung S ultra series before google pixel kicks in. I've been using different brands over past many years, i would say that i love the feature and customize ability on samsung, the smooth animations from IOS, the clean stock android expierience on google pixel, and the bang for your bucks form oneplus. Personally i dont really care about fast charging, i prefer a all day battery over fast charging and the battery on my 9 pro XL was really surprise me, for example,' I wake up at 6am, go to work at 7am, leave my work at 5pm, and ofcouse i use my phone in between the time, my nothing phone 1 would have 20-30% left when i get back to home, but my pixel would have easily over 70% battery life. Currently Im still figuring out a phone thats for me, but 1 thing im pretty sure that is im not going to get a pixel phone as my next phone, not the samsung as well, for some reason i actually might switch back to an iphone after many years later

The nexus 5 is my first google phone. After that the pixel 2xl and then the pixel 7a. All of these devices worked flawlessly for me with zero issues. The thing that is making me hesitant to try the one plus is the green line issue and the long term reliability of these phones. I have seen people complai n about how the phone dieing after after software updates, camera getting worse etc etc.

I'd like to get either of these to replace my OnePlus 6 that its camera just stop working and battery seems to not hold charge for more than 2-3 hours. The thing I don’t enjoy on OnePlus 12 is its haptics. They are not very satisfying especially when typing. This bothered me on OPPO Find X7 Ultra , haptics on Xiaomi 14 Ultra is more pleasing but pixel comes on top for me. Though OnePlus 12 way smoother phone than Pixel 9 Pro XL. Twitter experience on Pixel 9 Pro XL is the worst. If you don’t notice this, consider yourself lucky.

How is midrange performance ok for a phone that is £1000? It's like half the performance compared to the competition. Comparable performance to an iphone 12. For £1000 an iphone 16 pro is better value which is crazy. I really like the pixel 9 pro because it's the only compact android phone with pro cameras on android but I can't downgrade to a less powerful phone for more money. We'll have to see how well the phone holds up in 4 or so years.

People for 800$ one plus gives you 512 GB and 120 W xharger snd and a Case in the box. Its just better .. pixel UI is no where near Oxy 15.

I tried the P9PXL and was instantly disappointed. They’re joking at this price point. Aesthetically, it’s an iPhone knockoff, but Pixels started out that way so it makes sense. I personally don’t like the flat screen, slab design and the iPhone-esquire dramatically rounded corners. Battery life is better than it used to be but not impressive. Performance was just okay - Google Maps was noticeably janky compared to an iPhone. The AI stuff is thus far, pretty poorly executed and since that was their biggest talking point with this phone - yet another disappointment. The camera was just okay for me, but I don’t need the perfect camera, just a good one. I don’t get the hype over Pixel cameras and there are still a lot of issues with edge quality and lighting, especially indoors. My iPhone 14 PM takes much better pics, IMO. I sent the Pixel back and my OnePlus 12 will be here next week. Way better bang for the buck and not trying to be a budget-ass iPhone at iPhone prices. I had the first two generation Pixels and loved them, and Google has since lost their way. I won’t bother with them again.
