Not going to unsub, but still holding onto something to come of RocketJump since they made the switch from FreddieW. BrandonJLA hasn't done anything, but node either. VGHS effects and 3D work was sub-par at best that last season and this video is another bit of recycled material. I've only watched this once and this is what I've seen: -90% of RocketJump's effects stem from Videocopilot (the muzzle flashes, smoke particals, bullet hits, even the energy impact is from them) -Using Tetris like objects as people is new and new is welcomed -Corny acting like from VGHS has to go. It's getting old. The only thing I smiled at in this video wasn't even a joke, it was the pong reference when she reflected the blast at the end. -Continuity error with the coffee at 0:30 was extremely obvious -Super obvious twist with who the murderer was -Colour grade and pacing was fine, but I think too much film noise was used and it was distracting. Yes it helps blend the 3D, but if it's to the point that it's glaring in your face, then it's too much and takes away from the overall look. -Pixel disintegration is just a re-vamp from VGHS deaths in the first person shooter game -The spot where Freddie died is exactly where the anti-pixel weapon cabinet is and when she goes for the cabinet, Freddie's dead pixels (voxels technically) are no where to be found All-in-all this channel has fallen quite a bit, quality has gone up in the cinematic aspect, but down in the 3D and effects elements (which let's get real, is what this channel thrives on). They are trying and I appreciate the efforts, but this channel hasn't put out anything special since Brandon parted ways, and before you point fingers and call me a Brandon fanboy; Brandon has done nothing since the split either. Like they said on their first Jimmy Kimmel interview: Freddie was the face and Brandon was the post-production work horse. Once they parted, they lost their spunk. Freddie does not do much in front of the camera and their post production has fallen since Brandon isn't there. Big names on KZbin and have unfortunately fallen. Shame.
