"Changing colors when a cord is on the same side you're working towards"--I first encountered this late the other night & spent so long knotting & unknotting & wondering what was I doing wrong. 😂 I tried Googling it to see if I was just dumb & couldn't find any other tutorials mentioning it. I eventually figured it out but if I'd come across this video first it would've saved me so much confusion, haha.

How do you know how long to cut the cords if you're making your own from a graph you found? Also, what if your graph has an odd number of cords (rows needed)

Hmmm...great questions! I recommend cutting the cords 2 feet for short designs (30 rows and under) and 3 feet for longer designs. Because they'll be folded in half, that will give you 1 foot and 1.5 feet of working space. If the graph has an odd number -- you could maybe make it work if you ignore the last cord on your dowel. You might want to tape it up or something so you don't forget and accidentally tie yarn on it. Then at the end, you could glue the extra cord to the back or tie it up. Just some suggestions. I only ever create designs with even numbers for this reason :)
