I was thinking this was a typo because I knew about 8-bit armies. Anyway, the C&C gameplay is telling in more than one way. When Westwood got bought by EA (and eventually shut down), several of the developers who made C&C, went to found Petroglyph, that made 8-bit and 9-bit armies. Petroglyph also made Universe At War, Star Wars: Empire at War, and they were heavily involved in the remastered version of C&C

I play 8 bit armies once a day as the cranioids. I build either a barracks or airfield, drag the spawner to the name base and spam either rocket spewing airframes or xenodogs. Whilst spamming resource collectors! I love 8 bit armies. Hope they bring 9 bit to the ps as well.

The C&C renaissance comes in different flavours with 9-bit Armies and Tempest Rising, try to also keep an eye out for Global Conflagration which apparently has a dev team of like 2 guys and a dream.

Hahaha so funny 3:46 he looked away to set rally points and goes back to see a Harvester run over his troops. Potato never played C&C or Red Alert it seems

I really hope they add more to the game than just naval units, this looks identical to 8 Bit Armies...we need dogs, spies, hero units like Tanya, mirage tanks, prism tanks etc! Go full Red Alert but 8 Bit style!

If you're looking for another RTS of this style you should check out Planetary Annihilation, I think you'd enjoy. Anyway, thanks for all the hours of wonderful content :)

I thought Petroglyph was dead, they made the Star Wars Empire at War series, this looks like is following in its footsteps and improving upon that framework! Glad to see an older company still making games

How do you build a Ship Yard? I have it unlocked but it won't let me place it anywhere, I'm stuck on the 2nd mission. In your video you seem to just magically already have one built which is not the case for me.

Hopefully this game comes with all the factions from the last games expansions on release. Otherwise they are just upgrading the engine and are selling you back the same factions separately?

I was hoping that this was someone FINALLY remaking a game like The Perfect General / The Lost Admiral. No resource gathering just build a military with points and duke it out. Great set of beer and pretzels wargames.
