DanShowsNoMerc was the real MVP of this battle. Athens was crippled after that initial defense, and Pontus committed too little too late, but goddamn did Macedon turn shit around. All it took was one good unit committed to a good maneveur and it turned certain defeat into a costly victory. Well fucking done to him!

These are the kind of quality battles that make you sit on the edge of your seat. Props to all of the players for fighting until the very end and giving us a nail biter.

What a battle, i love two things in this replay; one are the Pikes combat (amazing scenes to see because is not common on the multiplayer today) and the movement of the Macedonian general, surrounding the enemys lines, charging and destroying the rear of them, was epic.

Hey Apollo! I recently picked up Rome II and I’ve been learning how to play since it differs quite a bit from Medieval II (which is what I’m used to). Anyway, I wanted to comment on how I really enjoyed the tips you were giving on some of the units whilst the fighting was going on, it gave me some insight on potential tactics with units I am not necessarily familiar with and helped explain things quite a bit. Love your videos man!

As a Rome 2 TW recommendation,don’t bring hoplites. Instead,bring melee infantry and pikemen. You’d have way more effective killing power
