Elliot was not unattractive. He definitely could’ve gotten a girlfriend with those looks. Something had to be really wrong with him/ his personality bc at least one girl would’ve looked past his red flags and got with him if he wasn’t that bad. I just love it when men blame women for their awful personalities and behavior. There’s no way everybody hates you. If they do then the problem definitely isn’t them.

I read Elliot Roger's manifesto. It makes him sound like an angry child. In his own description, he once sat down on a bench alone and was upset that strange women weren't throwing themselves at him. I'm not exaggerating. Just sat there and glared at people walking by. When he was giving up hope near the end, he spent a bunch of money on lotto tickets and then _bemoaned the injustice of the Universe_ when he [surprise!] didn't win the actual lottery. "Injustice" was the word he used. He literally and truly believed that life owed him something just for existing, and the fact that fortune wasn't raining down upon him is what justified his rampage. After reading that, any video of him laughing maniacally makes me think one thing - This is a small, annoying child pretending to be a comicbook villain.
@kathrynhoward4196 Жыл бұрын
He wasn't pretending. He actually murdered people, and that made him a real-life villain.
@cortrichards8179 Жыл бұрын
I read it too. It is a frightening yet fascinating journey into the mind of a true sociopath/psychopath, imho. Elliott was obviously a very mentally disturbed young man. It is a sad case, especially because he was not a bad looking chap. If his personality had developed 'normally', he could have probably had all the women he wanted. If he had at least been charming, and a good and kind young man, he could have really gone places. But, something was off from the start with Elliott, and once he hit puberty, the ticking time bomb finally exploded in his brain. He felt that the universe and especially humanity, owed him a lot. He couldn't figure out for the life of him, why people wouldn't fawn over him constantly and tell him that he is such a fabulous person. Well, because he isn't and wasn't a fabulous person. He was completely deranged by that point. After that, it was just a matter of a short time and he was writing his manifesto and planning a massacre. A ticking time bomb indeed.

dude, did eliot even think that woman throwing themselves to him at the middle of the beach is a bit weird and kind of akward? like if i saw a pretty lady at the beach i don’t just go up to them and say “hey cutie. wanna date me?”, like no, that’s weird.

The problem with Elliot is he was obsessed with a fantasy and did not ever want to live in reality. He rejected reality, and created all sorts of false reasons as to why his fantasy could not be accomplished. He planted a seed of hate, and every interaction was to make that seed grow to make him feel like he was correct. Human he spoke to easily saw this seed of hate flourishing. That's why they stayed away from him. It's that sign of when people stay in their heads way too much and let those words of self-doubt eat them alive. Some commit suicide, others commit mass murder. The majority find help and get out of their heads and others positively support them to change.

You wanna know the funny thing about Randy Stair? He had a shotgun, and blocked off the exits in the grocery store and shot 50 times. And only got 3 people. Like that’s gotta embarrassing, hyping your little shooting and you only take 3 people with you

It was the supermarket Randy worked at, during the night shift, with only a few coworkers. Only one girl survived out of everyone in the store that night.

@@dolomitilino9015 I remember from the story that a lot of the supermarket goods were shot at out of spite as well as several gas canisters with the intention to blow them up (did not work). It was a shotgun, pretty sure it did not need that much to kill someone. The full story is very interesting, even just the Wikipedia page about the shooting itself has a lot of information.

Elliot describes getting rejected when he tries to make sexual advances.... What about the part that is supposed to come before that? Ya know, like talking and befriending women. He wasn't grotesque looking. He was rejected because he was a tremendous creep.

I always find it weird when I come across a video format like this that mentions Randy Stair, but not Trey Sessler. His story is eerily similar to Randy, but Trey came first. The difference being Trey didn't want his family to have to live with the shame of what he planned to do, so he offed his family, but chickened out of the mass event at the last minute, so he took his family out for nothing.

All these guys complaining about not having a girl, all you gotta do is forget about it. I don't understand why it's not obvious to people that hating women is not going to help. Occupy your mind with something else, preferably like bettering yourself. Working out, reading, learning a skill, volunteering, hobby, etc. But it needs to be something irl, outside your home as much as possible. As soon as you stop thinking about it all the time, it will happen. It won't happen when you're worried about it and trying to force it. It's kinda like how it's so much easier to find a job when you already have a job. When you're looking for a job, take whatever you can get until you find something better.
@balrogbox Жыл бұрын
There's literally nobody complaining about not having a girl💀 the killer one was like 10 years ago. A lot of things have changed in society since then. Nowadays women aren't desirable at all in most cases. Actually most of them are disgusting due to their manipulatory and sexual behavior. Considering how America treats men after divorce, forcing them to pay thousands of dollars to the woman (why?) and how many women are absolute sexists and misandrist, there's an absolute minority of people "complaining" and most of them are just kids that don't know society well yet.

The thing about loneliness is that you need to learn to live with it for it to go away. If you don't accept it and let it turn you into a salty psychopath, it's pretty obvious that it'll just get worse. I've been rejected several times in my life, but after a little while of brooding and sulking, you learn to live with it. To ignore it. But most of all, you learn not to let it eat away at you

It will shake the platforms to their core and change things forever, for those making their living from it.

I can understand what Elliott felt, I've lived the same to the extent of feeling just like him, but life showed me that everybody has "demons" chasing them or "luggage" dragging them back. The handsome womanizer from school became my friend and told me about issues with his father, issues I never experienced; reality struck me when he spoke about being "rejected" all his childhood and how he was "jealous" of watching people with normal dads. It was the same dilemma and although at first I disregarded it thinking having a partner is more important, later I realized that I still had my whole life to get a girl, but he couldn't go back to his childhood and get a dad. Elliott's troubles were totally real but he stick himself in them too much to realize that the unfairness of life comes in different flavors and perhaps having a friend to talk to was the solution, but he spent his time chasing woman. He was hungry and went for fish, but skipped the fishing rod.
