As someone who had a mother with episodes of psychosis, and a husband who works in this area, I can safely say Jessica is probably manic bipolar. Or some other condition that causes manic psychosis. She should have been 5150’d. If you haven’t been there you don’t know what it’s like to have a mother with psychosis. I feel like she and her children were failed by everyone. So many people along the way who could have had her hospitalized and put on medication. This who situation likely could have been prevented if she had just been hospitalized and put on medication.

Jessica is terrifyingly similar to my own father. Like brainwashing me to think my mom was evil, often getting in unnecessary conflicts with anyone who may have slightly wronged him, forcing me to go house to house with him while constantly being kicked out and being sent into poverty, he would even often kidnap me from one school and bring me to another since legally he could do that since it was joint custody. I hope Jessica's kids are doing okay now.

i have a similar relationship with my mom. it'll always be the phone call of her forcing her kids to say vile things to their father that'll break my heart. my mother has made me say and do horrible things to other people, and if i ever refused then i was also attacking her, and thus, a bad, selfish person. i hope they can heal and live a happy life

All while berating me and my mom too, and had me on his side thinking that she was the problem when I was younger. I kind of wish that he would've done worse things to me so that I wouldn't have sympathized with him. Or it would've signaled to me that I was not the problem and that I was right about him from a very young age. The harm that would've done is unimaginable, and I wouldn't wish physical violence upon anyone, but myself, because of the worldview that he made me believe about myself. I dont understand the point of the Sex Offender Registry. If they are that incurablely bad, just keep them locked up or in supervised halfway housing
@gypsywoman91404 ай бұрын
It's an extremely flawed system. I used to live in a split-level house: I rented the upstairs unit, another family rented the downstairs one. Between the downstairs tenants and me, we had 4 kids in that place. And a 3-times registered sex offender who lived two buildings away that loved walking his pug by our place and staring at the kids with a creepy smile and his hands DEEP in his pockets. Tried calling the cops, even enquired what his offenses were (even though I'm pretty sure we can figure it out through his behavior.) They wouldn't tell us anything "for his protection" nor would they do a fkn thing because "looking at people isn't illegal." Tried reiterating "There are FOUR children here, three of which aren't even five years old yet. And you won't tell me what his offenses are for HIS protection?! You're protecting the wrong people! He's out there playing pocket pool staring at our windows if we're not outside and that's not illegal???" Yeah, no, they refused to do a damn thing and I'd be the one going to jail if I did something about it 🙄 (if I wasn't a single mom, I probably would have done more than yell at and argue with him until he finally moved his 3xSO ass out of the neighborhood. Eliminating him would be performing a community service. 3 times registered and playing pocket pool ogling young kids in broad daylight? He certainly doesn't feel any guilt or shame! Not one bit!)

I remember reading about a 14 year old (he had just turned 14) whose girlfriend found out she was pregnant about a month before turning 13. He was arrested, charged as an adult and put on the registry. While I think there is a lot there to unpack there lol, it's wild that a situation like that can be on the same list as a grown adult destroying the lives of multiple children or a violent rapist.

A curiosity about "Pekka-Eric Auvinen" is that his parents made a memorial video on youtube called "For Our Son", the video is now deleted, I believe, and it was just a video of Pekka-Eric's pictures as a baby to his most recent one, taken some time before the shooting.
@gypsywoman91404 ай бұрын
That's really sad 💔 I understand why "the internet" wouldn't like such a video, but she's still a mother grieving the loss of her son and probably wondering if there was anything she could have done differently where she and other families would still be able to hug their kids. I imagine the parents of deceased killers probably have an even harder time mourning....being torn up over their "babies" crimes, missing the child they thought they knew but still love, and having nobody to empathize, nobody grieving with them for their loss. Most attitudes towards dead killers is "Good riddance!" It must feel so isolating and lonely, like they're being punished for something they didn't even do nor have prior knowledge on. Most parents don't *always* monitor what their kids (especially teens) are doing online. We should, but Life gets busy and most of us would never think "Hey, I should log on to my kids computer before I go to work. They might have posted a manifesto before school!" No, we think they're either working on a school project, chatting with friends, or playing video games since that's what most kids do on computers and other such electronics.
@Koda_adok4 ай бұрын
@@gypsywoman9140I understand the sadness from the mothers point of view but imagine your a mother who lost their child cause of that man. Personally I think losing Eric is still terribly bad. Sending you kid to school and arriving knowing that was your last moment with them is terrible. Knowing that one of those kids probably asked if they could stay home and the parents said no just to find out their kid is dead? I understand Erics point of view as well. And I still feel terrible sorry for eric’s mother that must be pain you can never heal. Personally if my kid killed 8 people. I wouldn’t want that kid. Yes you can’t fix the desperation of the other families but still call a killer your “baby” is different even after 17 years is crazy. This is just my take on it but idk :)

@@pseudonym3690 totally understand my only thing is if you are not able to talk to children or see children as some peoples agreement are why are they able to go online and do that through the Internet? And maybe it’s not just youtube because there are plenty of other platforms people converse with but things have changed in society with social media and there are so many other avenues people take to be predators. I think the law should adjust with the times. so many predators are online and talking to children… grooming through the Internet. So if there was a law, stopping convicted predators from being able to be on social networks flooded with children… it only makes sense to me. When predator decides to be a predator and get caught for it. They don’t need the same privileges as everyone else has that’s on them.
