1991 - Got Surfer Rosa. Still not been able to see Pixies live but I did get to hang with Charles on a sidewalk outside a club he was gonna play a solo gig at in 2008. I wore my band's shirt that has the angry nun on it, to the show. I knew it would catch his eye. lolerz. Got a few good laughs out of him during our talk.

Reminds me a little of Metric. Pixies sounded great last summer tour, as good or better than seeing them in Boston around '89. You know how it sounds like each bar starts a little bit early but it's still like a basic 4/4 beat, how do you explain that musically? I love the original Pixies (1987-1991). Unfortunately I feel like I've been listening to a different band since the reunion (except for a few exceptions in some songs), it also seems like they give more importance to the lyrics rather than the overall impactful and heavy sound but I'm still happy that they're still a working band.

@@lilpentolasullatrappola Those are all great tracks off of probably his best work. His self-titled debut is awesome. Teenager of the Year is probably the easiest one to get into for Pixies fans. Cult of Ray is alright but a step down. From there, he kind of follows his own muse and his work is hit or miss. I think the self-titled Frank Black and the Catholics record is really good. Dog in the Sand and Pistolero are also really good ones. I think you'll find a lot to like if you go down the rabbit hole.
