Minecraft Legends Campaign ▫ [Ep.3] Attacking the Piglin Bases! ▫ Single Player Gameplay

Minecraft Legends is the new Minecraft spin-off game from Mojang Studios and Blackbird Interactive! In this 'Action Strategy' game, players rally mobs from the overworld to face off against the Piglin Horde (and sometimes each other), save the world, and become a legend!
In this video, after upping the difficulty settings to Mythic, we get our first real look at open-world gameplay in Minecraft Legends. We take down a Piglin outpost, then test out our Allays' new ability to convert Netherrack back into grass. (That's right, we can terraform in Minecraft Legends!)
Then we seek out a new village to defend from the Piglin horde, and the nearby base turns out to be bigger than I bargained for. But with the help of some creepers from a cool nearby homestead, we take our first steps towards dealing with this Piglin fortress!

I like the idea that whilst you can cure the land of Netherrack you can’t get rid of the lava. And that is perhaps how we got surface lava pools in the base game.

Unfortunately as far as I can tell there is little point in curing netherrack after the base is destroyed. Curing netherrack is just a meeans of pushing your frontline forward into a piglin base.

Take it with a legendary amount of salt though in terms of how they actually connect to real Minecraft, the very first trailer for this game pretty much confirms that whatever happened in this game are just imaginary or made-up stories aka a legend instead of actual history/peek to the actual events of this game. This makes way more sense considering the vastly different artstyle of this game being less blocky/cuboid, as well the title of the game being called 'Legends', and just like real life legends; it's basically used to explain things that are not yet understood, and this point becomes very obvious when you look at the difference between Vanilla piglins and legend's depiction of piglins, which are very inaccurate.

@@typervader Orb of Dominance is strictly Dungeon's lore, and Dungeon's actual connection to the Vanilla game's history is very, VERY questionable at best and there's zero to no confirmation if it's actually canon or not, especially since Dungeon's story and lore revolves around the Archillager, and every single one of its traces are absent from the main game (Dungeons are likely an alternate timeline). The only real connection Legends have to Vanilla lore is that it confirms that Villagers are aware of the existence of the Nether and Piglins enough that they created a fantasy around them. Source: The announcement trailer for Legends shows a Villager reading a story book, and since ALL of the golems and allies are Villager-related (all of them have large noses except Creepers of course); we can assume that Legends is a creation by the Villagers themselves, but the connection promtly ends there.

@@user-tzzglsstle585e38 Agree to disagree. My theroy is legends and dungeons are Canon to an extent, but take place 1000s of years before our current MC world. Parts of them are just stories, but some parts real (Piglins, arch illgear and the orb of domaince mostly)

Two things I'm wondering...a) if you build a well at that conquered outpost, would it create a 'village' for the villagers, with a resource chest? and b) now that you've found the creeper 'homeland', do you have the ability to build creeper spawners?

a) no i think because the well that you build is just a respawn point for you b) Yes once you defend the creepers base you can build their spawners and spawn them given you have the resources i.e coal

Did you know that the horde of the bastian vortivies their bases well the horde of the hunt and the horde of the fungi dont but the horde of the fingi builds it on the high ground and the horde of the hunt has the most mound of piglin since they are always on the ofensive just wanted to let you know

Discoveries I have made playing this game: The Gold ore blocks that are left after destroying a gold extractor will allow you to place Converting Allay blocks on them, allowing you start converting from inside the Netherack area without having to go after something as hard to destroy as the Nether Spreader😊

HELP: Also slight spoilers so beware I can’t beat the final hoard of spores boss fight. Not due to lack of power but mobility. I can’t get to the central landmass because ramps won’t reach that high from the tallest point I could be. But the way to the next highest point is too far away. A red stone launcher can hit the portal but not the boss. Any way I can get the boss to move into a hittable spot? Thank you

You have to start out at the lowest level of the base, then slowly work your way around it. You have no other choice so you have to go around landmass to landmass around the main one in a circle. It confused me at first but I eventually figured it out. Also there is one part where you need to have it reach the very edge of the landmass in order to get to the other side. Hope this helps
