🇮🇹🏔 Piz Boè (3,152 mt): via Normale

Today I climb the Via Normale to reach the top of Piz Boè, the highest peak of the Sella Group, in the Dolomites of the Val di Fassa. Piz Boè is one of the easiest to reach among the three-thousand in the Dolomites. The Via Normale starts from Passo Pordoi at 2,239 meters and with about two and a half hours of walking, you can reach the summit at 3,152 meters, or 913 meters in altitude. This mountain is very popular with tourists because it is possible to eliminate most of the fatigue and elevation gain by using the cable car to Sass Pordoi. This allows practically anyone to climb a mountain of over 3,000 meters with little effort. For this reason, to avoid the crowd of tourists brought by the cable car, it is essential to leave early in the morning, no later than 7.30 in order to be at the top before the arrival of the first wave of tourists unloaded from the cable car which begins to operate at 9.30.
