I have eaten at all of those places in New Haven as well. It looks like a New Haven style pizza. When you showed the Palm of your hand and the black from the charcoal, that said it all. Nice job!

Ate there today with my friend. Niether of us were impressed. Good crust, well done but 7.5 at best. My pie did not look anything like what Portnoy or you showed us. Very good pizza but not an 8.3 or 8.4.

NO FLAVOR. Pizza tasted like Bread. Good looking Pizza when it comes to size, shape and consistency but NO TASTE when I ordered a Traditional Mootz Apizza on two different occasions.

Was just down in the Boca area and checked this place out after Dave's review. Very overrated. Almost burnt. My pie was cold as fk. And to be honest, tasted ok. not great. New Park pizza in Queens blows it away.

New park is very good. I drove by there at least once a week and they had parking so it was easy to pull in and get a slice. Sauce is the best I ever had. But you need to understand that New Haven style is completely different from what you get at New Park. New haven style is supposed to be burnt. Everything about the 2 pies are different. Also you can buy a few slices and they warm it for you at New Park. In Delray you don't buy by the slice. You buy the whole pie and if you're there to get the pie when it becomes ready, it won't be cold. What you found out is that you hate New haven style Pizza.

Yoi Should try Basillicos on Forrest Hill just east of Sr 7 and Mario the Baker on Sr 7 just south of Okeechobee

He did, he gave Basilicos a 8.2 or 3. Basilicos is better than that score. Then again, it was a reheated slice. Try Hot pie in Royal palm Beach.

I grew up in the tri state area. I have had a lot of new haven pizza but this was horrible. The sauce was filling with seeds and tomato skins. The pie had zero cheese and wasn’t well done at all. Overall worst pizza I have had in years I would rather have papa johns
