This is probably the best remix I’ve heard of Thousand March. The song already shows the grave severity of this, as it’s the tower’s last card against Peppino by weaponizing the poor man’s PTSD from his service days. This song represents what’s going on in Peppino’s mind right now. He’s already been through so much challenge and hardship, but now he has to face the worst thing possible for him: reliving Hell. And at 1:53 (thanks to Daft Punk emphasizing this moment) he remembers that it’s all to stop Pizzaface and save his restaurant. He’s already got this far, hasn’t he? He’s made it through the army once; he can do it again! 2:21 kicks in (with Paranoia/Young Girl A in the faint background) to help with newfound courage in spite of his traumatic experiences. He’s still wracked with survivor’s guilt, trauma, and fear, but he’s built up reformed courage and even spite to get through this and fight for what’s close to him. He already lost countless men. He’s not going to lose Gus, Brick, and his restaurant, too. Not after making it through all that’s thrown at him. Not after a huge egotistical pepper, a bounty-hunting cheese slime, his old rival, and a Skinwalker. WAR may never change, but the stakes sure have. Pizzaface is a dead man. And Peppino would gladly go through Hell a second time if it means dragging Pizzaface there himself.
