Thats a very well designed, speced, and built trailer! Thanks for showing us this!

I totally agree, after researching trailers for a couple years before I retired the PJ offered the most options I was looking for. Namely the split tailgate (not ramps) with expanded metal so I could walk up the tailgate using a hand dolly. The other thing I love is the Ready Rail System. Overall I’ve been extremely happy after 3 years owning this trailer. The only thing I might change would be to get the 82” instead of the 72”. Besides that I wouldn’t change a thing. I have a PJ 20' buggy hauler, 106" wide with drive over fenders. I use it for hauling antique tractors to shows and parades, the drive over fenders are needed for the older tractors that are wider. I've had this trailer lot about 10 years and it has been a great trailer.

Great trailer Tony. We have our Kubota for over 10 years and never hauled it anywhere. Probably because we don't have a good trailer! Thanks for the review.

Mike, You know when I used my buddies 16’ trailer I too was afraid to move my tractor, it didn’t have electric trailer brakes and I was probably pushing the trailers capacity. With the PJ trailer I take my equipment (tractor, UTV, firewood) everywhere and it makes my job go much easier. As a one man operation I need to work smarter and not harder. Thanks for watching👍

Quite pricey for a trailer, but it can do so many things that it seems well worth the money. What sold me on that trailer was in the opening few seconds when saw thet the loading ramps were integrated into the tailgate ramps. Then the extra features of the springs in the tailgates and the customer service you received to solve the problems you've had with it.

2 of my trailers are PJ's that I bought at Mirshburger Sales in Chilton!! Very quality built trailers that are reasonably priced!! Only thing I am not happy about is the paint flaking and alittle rust started from our lovely Wisconsin winters and salt!! Stay safe my friend

I bought Mine off Ebay from a guy in Eau Claire, only had one load of sand in it then put it up for sale, He bought a Dump Truck instead of using the Trailer. mike M Wausau.

Good information on what seems to be a very good trailer by a decent enough company. Good to hear they are making people happy. Pretty good production, good audio but still some camera distance and lighting concerns to work through. That ole Chris still sets the woodyard video standard. Do you keep it in a shed or out in the weather?

Nice job on optioning out your trailer. We have a 24' with 5' beaver tail deck over PJ trailer with a goose neck hitch, rated for 24,000 lbs purchased new in 2005. The dexter axles and higher quality parts are worth it. This trailer has hauled trucks, farm equipment and other items back here to Pa from Texas, Ohio, Colorado, etc with zero issues. The only thing I would have done differently on ours would be a power tilt tail instead of the beaver tail and ramps for more ground clearance in the back and nicer for hauling hay. I was pricing out an 18' deck over aluminum tilt deck and checked current pricing on our trailer it was twice what we paid for it in 2005, the dealer offered us more than we paid for it new. Take good care of your trailer it will serve you well.

Great looking trailer, when your tractor is loaded can you haul any extra implements like a grapple or forks also?
@TonysCoolTools2 жыл бұрын
Yes I can have a grapple and wood chipper and have plenty of room. I’ve had bucket and rototiller on as well. The only issue with the fixed gate over ramps is my bush mower, but for me I don’t transport that much I leave in Richland Center. Thanks for watching 👍

That is a great trailer! PJ is one brand on my radar. I can’t decide between a trailer just like yours or a dump trailer. I’m leaning towards a lo profile dump that I can still haul a future tractor on. Definitely like the lower work deck of the car hauler though🤷♂️ Nice vid Tony👍🏻👍🏻TOA
@TonysCoolTools2 жыл бұрын
You know Todd I struggled with that same dilemma. There are many factors to consider like how much can your truck tow, what length dump are you looking at getting, how big of a tractor are you looking at getting. Here is what I learned, the dump is good idea but most tractors don’t fit with bucket and any 3-point attachments. The 18’ won’t dump but with the drive up gate loading and unloading wood is pretty easy. Thanks for watching 👍
@toddsoutsideagain2 жыл бұрын
@@TonysCoolTools Good point Tony. Price is also cheaper. I just thought with the dump I could make a little side money hauling rock. There is a quarry on my way home from work and a lot of people need gravel hauled🤷♂️ It’s a tough decision
@jenky10442 жыл бұрын
That's a nice trailer. Thank you Tony for showing this to us. 18ft is easier to back up than a 16ft. Also a "beaver tail" trailer is way better than a straight "flat deck" for the reasons that you mentioned. Price: I think that's a good price for what you got. Time: A month or so is too long if it was being built. I could build one in a week (not counting powder coating). I would say it was on a list of trailers to be built. Especially because of Covid. (they probably wanted to build trailers that were paid for rather than have a bunch sitting around with not the right options on them).? But that's just my guess.
@TonysCoolTools2 жыл бұрын
Prior to Covid getting a semi- custom trailer was easy and quick, but for the most part of 2021 most trailer manufacturers weren’t taking custom work they were only doing their most popular cookie cutter trailers. It has gotten better but more expensive. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

I really liked how, when you drove the heavy stuff up on it, it didn't squat or buck. Some great ramps. Can't say I'm a fan of powder coat, but with the extra prep, it might be a good durable coating. Maybe over the line: I'm not a big fan of the EPA either. I think they're trying to ruin our country. Powder coat, what other real choice have they left us?
@TonysCoolTools2 жыл бұрын
