So happy to see you post new content i just finished emt school recently and have been debating going aeromedical evacuation or pararescue and weighing out the pros and cons. But what started me on this journey was your channel been volunteering at my local fire department for a year now officially have my NREMT finished after a 6 month college course that came with its own certificate. Thanks for all you do man you're truly out here changing peoples outlooks and lives

I appreciate the comment and am humbled to have that kind of impact. I always said when I was planning on becoming a PJ, if I have the opportunity to save one person then whatever I go through is worth it. I am not someone who likes the spotlight but if it helps people I will do it all day

Starting EMT school in January! How was it? Any tips?
@LifeIn-nq1pu5 ай бұрын
@evanbbfkf5887 the ems pocket prep app goes hard but it costs 15 dollars a month. It'll give you mock quizes and if you get questions wrong It'll tell you where in the book to find the fir "emergency care and transportation of the sick and injured" book of your school uses fisdap just know that yes you can find quiz answers on quizlet but you will not be able to find anything fir the final so dont lean to heavily on quizlet make sure you actually study dont get too lazy a lot of the people who used quizlet too much in class did not end up passing

@@evanbbfkf5887hey I’m the the commenter on this but I am an EMT. Big help for me was mnemonics. The paramedic coach is great for NREMT reviews. Engage yourself in your clinicals and always ask questions

CROs do deploy to single person tasking. Those deployments and assignments may be clandestine or programmatic. As Tactical Officers, they are typically in change of a program, product or project of unique and/or exquisite requirements.

I have a bunch of questions that I’m hoping to get answered. I just got over all my major health issues and will start training to enlist in the US Air Force and to eventually become a PJ. Question 1. My family that have served talks about basically having a college lifestyle when not on base doing work. Going out, drinking, fucking, the whole thing. My question is are you still able to do that when you’re a PJ? I would like to experience that since I’ve always been too broke and broken to do it. If the answer is NO, then here’s my next question 2. What is the best MOS to pick to prepare me to become a PJ? I would assume something in the medical field but I wanted to ask an actual PJ. 3. Are there honor grade recruits and squad leader recruits in PJ classes like there is in basic training? If so, what are the things you have to accomplish in order to become those things? 4. Is there any graphs or and videos that you made that could tell me what physical goals I have to reach through the PJ pipeline? For example, a graph or video that would tell me how many pushups to do in a certain amount time; same with sit-ups, pull ups, etc etc? 5. What should I study for prior to going into the PJ pipeline to get ahead? 6. Finally, do you have any other advice to help me get more prepared? I really would appreciate answers for my questions, thank you sir
@HowToBeAPJ3 ай бұрын
Yes you can do all the things you would normally do in any military job but I would recommend you limit that stuff once you get it out of your system. There are top grads in the classes, basically what you need to do is inspire others to make themselves better and perform at a high level in all the events you go through. I dont have graphs but I do have SW specific workouts on my website. You should study public speaking, leadership, and PJ history to get ahead in the pipeline. Go to the pool a lot and find a group of like minded individuals to train with!

I am talking with all candidates out there looking to join special warfare. If you would like to be on the podcast just email me at brian@howtobeapj.com
@HowToBeAPJ6 ай бұрын
That is because there are many different experiences, there are STOs who want to stay out in the field and those who dont. This equates to discrepancies in an exact number but as long as they are a young captain they will be out in the field. When they put on Major it is not so common to be out in the field

I don't know what I'm doing after highschool, but Pararescue seems like an incredibly fulfilling career. I'm curious on the vaccine requirements, and if the vaccines can be waived. I also have questions about what it would look like to take college classes while serving. Also how family life usually works out.
@peterpanini787726 күн бұрын
if life after service is a thought, i'm thinking the PJ enlisted is better than CRO for getting private sector jobs because you are skills based. There's never really going to be a CRO job lateral transfer direct to private sector. You could be lumped in with any other type of managerial position as just having in quotes "leadership" experience.

I've been struggling with this dilemma, so your video couldn't have come at a better time. I'm thinking about leaving my burnt-out finance career in its early stages, and I'm really tempted to set up a call with you. Also, I wanted to ask if supplements and vitamins, like creatine, caffeine, and multivitamins, are allowed in the pipeline?

I am in the process of moving to Florida right now but we can hop on and chat about your circumstances sometime next month. If you hate your job now, it is unlikely you are going to enjoy it in a year. Especially if you are stuck at a desk and are still wanting to get your hands dirty. Send me an email and we can figure out a day

• 0 seconds ago totally valid question and I have been keeping up to date on what is required for selection as well as the recent reintro to Indoc they are doing. I will continue to modify the workouts as need to ensure they are the best and most up to date workouts available. To answer your question directly, yes they are up to date

I'm going into college (health science major) this fall and am doing AFROTC when I get there. Being a PJ is something that sounds just absolutely incredible to me I can't think of anything I'd like to do more. My problem is once I graduate I would be an officer but CRO doesn't appeal to me nearly as much as PJ. Is it stupid to go through AFROTC and then give up officer to be a PJ. I think I should go to college but am I just wasting my time? idk if It's smart to "derail" my life if you will and just drop out to enlist. Could you provide some insight please and thank you.
@HowToBeAPJ3 ай бұрын
This is a question I get all the time, at the end of the day just ask yourself who you want to be and what is the reason you are doing the things you are doing. If you can say you have examined all the info you know now and are doing this because it is what you want to do then do it. If you are doing it because someone else said you should then dont. You will be more successful learning how to decide things than anyone who gets placed on the right path by others without experiencing the reasons why it is the right path.

I’m in college getting a nursing degree. In your opinion how will that translate to being a CRO?
@HowToBeAPJ3 ай бұрын
It will help a little with just knowing what to look for in a triage situation but for the most part what you need to be a CRO is the confidence and ability to make decisions and be able to back those decisions up.
@Silver_Back25206 ай бұрын
How hard is it to go from PJ to CRO?
@HowToBeAPJ6 ай бұрын
You will need to go through CRO phase 2 which is a short kick in the ballz selection again then go through the CRO apprentice course but overall less time than becoming a PJ since you will not have to go through all the ancillary schools like airborne dive etc.
