hi PJ Chen im having a problem at 7:10, when trying to select points from the oval shape the 3d gizmo does not show up, also the control points are not following the oval shape, theyre in a sharp edged bounding box, am I missing something? Thanks in advance
@PJChenJewelryDesign Жыл бұрын
you can turn gumball on/off at the botoom of viewport. control point does not stay on the curve. that is correct.

hello Sir, I have a question, when I rotate the middle profile on the curve (3:10), one end of the sweep is going up on the Z-axis. Is there a setting I have to put on/off? I already have my record history on.. Thank you sir.

not sure. you may want to make sure you didn't accidently select certain point.

I noticed the objects are not joined together, im wondering if that will cause any problem during 3D printing? Many Thanks
@PJChenJewelryDesign2 жыл бұрын
If you are printing it. it is better to boolean union all parts and make sure there is no naked edge.

What is the best Rhino7 setup for jewelry, design through production?... MatrixGold/Clayoo, Grasshopper, V-Ray for Rhino, Panther3d, or just plain Rhino7? We want the best before we start learning, but there's so many options. Money is no problem, we just want the best setup. Regards, Ferretface.
@PJChenJewelryDesign3 жыл бұрын
If money is not a problem go for MatrixGold. It is also a plug in for Rhino 7. So you will need to buy rhino 7 in order to buy plugin for MatrixGold. All the commands I show in my channels can be use for Matrix Gold. V-ray is a rendering program, same as keyshot. Clayoo is another plugin that include in MatrixGold which can do the same thing with Rhino 7 SubD. they both can create very organic surface.
@ferretface87823 жыл бұрын
@@PJChenJewelryDesign Thanks. Rhino7/MatrixGold it is then. Once setup, I will join your channel for tutorials. I will be designing mechanical(ratchet wrench, watch gears, etc.) to simple organic charm bracelets. Everything I design I will be making the molds and pouring the aluminum alloys myself. This is going to be exciting. Thanks, Ferretface.

@@PJChenJewelryDesign After considering upgrading my computers to handle the ridiculous system requirements of MatrixGold, I've decided to learn Rhino by itself, without any bloated plugins. I'll be checking out your Rhino(non-plugin) tuts.
