That guitar is KILLER. An ES-150? I have a 125, so I know it's higher up than that, and I don't recall seeing a 175 without a cutaway. Tuning keys look new.

good eye - it's a 1956 ES-135 (fancier 125 - fretboard binding) - the tuners are new replacements.

Speaking to the songs feeling... When I listen to the original John Hurt recording I get a feeling of almost a calypso polyrhythmic syncopation thing going on. Very interesting.

Interesting nice catch I think his beat is less bouncy feel than how you are playing. (I am learning now).
