For the ground, you need to sand the paint off the metal first, otherwise it may not make proper contact with the chassis which could cause issues down the line.

Agreed, running rcas with power doesnt really affect it with the sub, but it will introduce alternator whine with a mids/ highs amp..as i have discovered many times :P

Hi, great video. I got a subwoofer fitted in recently and it sounded great. However, after a couple of days, it starts to cut out and cut back in. It’s something to do with the passenger side as when someone from the passenger side leaves sometimes it works, and when someone from the passenger side enters and sits down it sometimes turns on. Any ideas?

@@PJsprojects I went back to the shop. They figured out I burned the wire as I blew the fuse or smth like that. The reason why it turned on and off was because the wire wasn’t fully burnt and therefore it randomly starts to play. They replaced the fuse and said they increased the amps. I don’t know what that means tho. If u could explain that would be helpful.

Great video. I have the same car but in EU, so steering wheel on the other side. I wonder if you've ever opened the driver side on a Corsa D, like take of the trim etc.. I wonder if it's gonna be harder because I expect there's just more stuff on the same side as I'm pretty sure the rubber grommet is still on the left.

Hey mate. So I am getting power to the amp but no sound. It’s one of those android head units in a focus ST 2010. I have the remote wire on the remote blue but I can also see an “ant” blue. Would that make a difference? On the RCA I have front/back and an RCA for “sub/amp” so I have put RCA splitters in that as well but still nothing. Wondered if you knew what else I could try? Thanks in advance.

Use a couple of bullet connections or a scotch lock if you don’t want to cut a wire. Don’t recommend Scotch locks tbh but it’s the easy fix.

Hi, my son has just had a Vibe amp fitted at Halfords into a corsa d. 09 plate. Amp works fine on the radio however when he plugs his iphone into the aux there’s no sound. Help please!!!??? Halfords guy didn’t know how to fix it. 😬

If its the original radio then they might of not plugged the aux connector back in to the rear of yhe radio when they had it out to connect the amp up.

On an aftermarket radio you connect it to the blue wire and on an original radio you need to find a switched live in the fuse box and fly off from that.

You would need to connect it to a switched live at the fuse box. On the Corsa you should see two yellow 20amp fuses next to each other,both of these should go off when the cars ignition is off and so either of these would be ideal for the blue remote cable. Be sure to test the fuses and check in your owners manual before pulling one out. Two places spring to mind for your car,one is where the bonnet release cable goes through or the large grommet high up behind the glove box.

Your amp is on all the time because the remote cable has been connected to a constant live,this will drain the car battery so you need to find a switched live such as the heater blower to power the remote connection to the amp.

The standard head unit does not have a amp power output but you can use any ignition switched power such as cigarette lighter socket or one from the fuse box inside the glovebox (Corsa models)

Safe mode is normally a dead short, so either the amp is faulty or your blue remote cable is connected to the wrong output wire on the back of your radio.

You would be best to find a 12v switched to power the remote cable. Pretty sure on that car the 12v socket is switched or if not you could use the heater blower power supply. Check your fusebox layout diagram in the owners manual and then test those two fuses to see if they are switched live and if sure buy a fuse spur to tap in to the supply.
