Definitely one of the best charts I've seen for Excel. I created two charts side by side with one for employees and one for days of the week; then added a hidden scatter diagram to keep the scales the same on both. Looks great. Thanks.

Hi! I have been looking to learn how to add shaded bars over my forecast&actual chart. I want all weeks prior to my current week to be filled with a Gray shade so that I cannot see it. I think I can follow what you just showed us with the Bottom line. I think I would need to add a new data series with a formula that checks if the calendar week is before or after todays calendar week, and if it is before, then I just need to know how. Would I set the formula to be equal to 0 and/or 1? Or is it best to use conditional formatting?

Hi there, thanks for creating this video. I am using Excel 2010 and can't work out how to change the size of the up/down bars. When selecting the bars and then going to the layout tab, adjusting the size is greyed out and not an option. Do you know if there is a workaround for this?

Hi PK I have a small issue, when I create the chart I do not get the chart based on Days(coloumns), but I get it based on Names(Rows), so when I switch the row/coloumn all the totals are clustered in the end and hence this method does not work. Can you please help
