This is a really amazing study from a philosophical standpoint. It shows, in a way, how the world really works. Structure is simply order formed from chaos via communities. There are thoses who would love to plunge everything back into chaos, so efforts to fight that have to be organised. Then there are thoses who would rather deface or be tricky and start a war. Really, this picture represents the game of life and the archetypes of personalities that exist. Life exists through a mixing of balancing and unballencing of all these forces over time. Its quite beautiful to watch it play out on something so simple... Its amazing to see how even through all the changes, in the end, structure prevailed, in a messy, non perfect way, just like real life.

Canos well, they invited me into a discord group. There, they would have representatives of different pixel arts discussing about which pixels would be theirs. For example the archlinux. At first, Archlinux was supposed to be overlapping the Darth script but it was later changed to be on top insteas. Also, Dark side's Dark kept getting griefed to Dank. We were also told to only write down the letters and let the "normies" fix the griefed words. I have to make a bit of a case for the void here. Sure it's easy to see it as just vandalism and I wouldn't be surprised it that was just the endgoal for some users. But it really adds to /r place and it would not be the same without it. 1.) In timelapses it looks amazing like a living entity sprawling out and consuming. 2.) it makes room for new art or atleast changes to existing one that stayed in. (Best examples would be the rebuilding of dutch nyan cat or the laser from the jesus statue that was used to repell the void. 3.) It served as a common enemy that formed many alliances and relationship between subreddits that may not have happended without it. But sure it wasn't perfect. For one since noone knew when it was gonna end (if at all) I fully understand that people are pissed that the void is currently attacking them and the final picture is ruined for them, (Mexican flag notably) And secondly since there was basically impossible to do any real damage to the botted big pieces and flags anymore it had to take the path of least resistance which resulted in exclusively small artpieces getting devoured, which had it rough already due to the expanding flags.

As someone working all weekend long on the tf2 logo, I found CSGO to be infuriating, they kept invading us over and over, making us waste pixels while we were reworking our logo. Dota wasn't that great of a neighbor either, their logo was completely boted. EVE online and r/Mexico were great neighbors though, we helped eachother a bunch. I disagree with the idea of the void being evil, it actually allowed new pixel art to appear (by getting rekt) over the top of where old pixel art was. Let's be honest, after 48 hours, there was not going to be much change, and we still have the old art, even if it didn't make it to the end. I'm super sad that the final version of the r/prequelmemes copypasta doesn't read "THE ONLY THING HE WAS AFRAID OF WAS LOSING HIS *BONER.* WHICH EVENTUALLY OF COURSE HE DID. I remember working on a small Rhythm Heaven PlayYan in the bottom right corner with a few friends during the few hours left of this, and never got far due to people replacing the pixels moments after placing them. /r/thebluecorner, the OG color factio, had a hard time dealing with vandalism, but we ultimately made it through sheer cooperation and determination (also no bots). Place was definitely the most interesting social experiment I've ever taken part in. It was amazing how all these people got together to do some really impressive stuff, from the pixel art, to the rainbow road, to the void wars, the conquest of blue corner, and everything else.

I don't know of any bots that Blue Corner was using. The subreddit and discord were against bots, and the only bots that spammed blue were the fake void bots that placed blue instead of black. We didn't use bots as far as I'm aware...

I was there r/floydvsvoid! The void tried to consume the middle. So we tried to place our prism right into the middle of the void. However we got destroyed, so we reformed below the Mona Lisa, where we luckily made it to the end.
