We were very disappointed that we couldn't play live for you this summer, but even so we wanted to go on tour. To replace us playing in person, we dug out some videos from the archives and are hosting our own ’summer tour.' These are the ‘Lost Tapes’, a series of festival concerts spanning 24 years, some never seen before.

Man, this brings me sooo many memories, feels like another life, really. In 2004/2005 I was so crazy about Placebo... I dig for concerts on the internet forums, burnt homemade dvds e watch it all afternoon, dreaming about see them live just once (and I never did until today) This concert was one of those dvds. When I was 13, I heard English Summer Rain for the first time. For second listening of this track, I fell into love with this song. It was on some music chart on our TV in Czech republic. Few week after that, I heard Special Needs, and then I knew, that I need to buy full album. Few days after that, I bought full album, and then I fell into love with whole group. Now, I'm 30, and PLACEBO is still my most favourite band!

Thanks for this amazing gift. I'm Italian and I would have been in the parterre in Mantova the 14th of July 2020 (it could have been my first Placebo concert since I was too small to attend to concert alone back in the past and I lived in a small city in Sardinia). I'm looking forward to 29 June 2021. Beautiful beautiful Performance..That helped to somewhat lift my depressed head this evening. ..appreciate everything..time is precious. damn I miss the 90s...i miss going to gigs and festivals I first saw placebo at Reading 1996, I was camped next to some (dare i say) 'posh' lads that kept saying they were going to see placebo..they must have told me about 10 times so the word stuck in my head.., they were 16, i was 15 (just)..and they had just left school....i kept thinking 'what the hell does placebo mean?. As my friends had disappeared somewhere i tagged along to watch the band they were talking about..i had never heard of them...but loved it! damn i miss the good old days..young, festivals, see'ing live music for the first time....sticking alcohol where the sun don't shine to get through the barrier cause i cant afford to buy on site and being underage.....just .having that freedom that we have probably lost a lot of now...i hope i still have photos...i tended to cut them up and make collages words are so powerful, I can really relate just recently. i have spent the last few weeks spray painting placebo lyrics around my town...and to be honest i have got to the point in my life where i don't really care if i get caught..theres something in me that needs to get out...placebo have kept me together for the past few weeks,,...music tends to have this effect on me thankyou for this x Kate the night crows shadow

The best news I got this summer (2020) ... AND: I might be wrong but in the music 1996-2007 I can hear the presence of Steve Hewitt who made this Placebo periode UNIQUE and UNFORGETABLE. I love their albums from 2009 and 2013 too, no question, but the "Meds" was the last Placebo album for my and maybe other (older) Placebo lovers ♥

Amazing footage. Thanks. I really enjoy watching them prior to Steve Hewitt on the drums. They were so raw. Hewitt is a great drummer though, and he added so much groove into their music. I really love the drumming on that first album. It has a Keith Moon vibe.

I didn't know that Robert Schultzberg was left handed as well. I saw a lot of vids of them in the Steve Hewitt era but it's the 1st time I see footage from their previous drummer, so happy to be able to see it, thanks a lot! 2 consecutive left handed drummers, that's pretty unlikely! Really like the playing of Bob on 1st album

Ah, I haven't heard some of these songs in such a long time. I love this band so much. Listening to them is like going back to various stages of my life for a visit. They grew and changed their music to fit their feelings at the time and it always seemed to fit so perfectly with what I was going through. I mostly listen to Loud Like Love album these days (it's a masterpiece) but damn if Lady of The Flowers didn't hit me like a gut punch. I hope we get another album at some point. I know they were talking about being in the studio before the covid stuff started up. Hopefully that gets back on track, but even if we never got another new album I'd be happy. Their discography is damn near perfection. They'll always be the best in my book.

Best Placebo big I ever experienced was when they played in front of about 300 people at a party Michael Eavis threw in September '97 (it wasn't as showbiz as it sounds; he did the same thing every year as a thank you to the locals near the festival site). It was like seeing your favorite band play in a tiny club - totally amazing. It was the third time we saw them that year. 97 is one of my all time best years for cool gigs, and this was about the best of the year. Radiohead at Glasto came close, but not quite. Good times.

I've been listening to Placebo since I was a kid, my mom was the one who introduced them to me. They've been the first band I've ever saw perform live when I was 14 and now that i'm almost 21 they're still one of my favourite bands out there. I really hope this whole situation we're living in will pass as soon as possible, so we'll be able to enjoy live shows once again! :)

@@Rafael-no3gi I am partial to Hewitt cos he's my fave drummer on Placebo (I really do not bond with Forrest's drumming - besides his inspired work on "Live at Angkor Wat" - as I think it lacked nuance, subtlety and finesse) but I think Schultzberg might just be their all-time best drummer. That is saying a lot.

This truly is a lost gem. Loved Placebo's path, don't get me wrong, but those first two albums had a raw and youthful energy that was just one of a kind. I remember going through the selves on record shops to find their singles, so that I could buy them to listen to the b-sides. Different times, same passion for music. Have seen them 4 times live in total, they were always great on stage by the way.

I loved this Placebo. Where they could complement each other with only 3 instruments (4 if voice counted). Stefan doing the melodic guitar part in the bass for 36 Degrees is so great and it doesn´t lose energy because of the great guitar tone and amazing drums.

I was there, wouldn't mind time-travelling back to that weekend. It was a great festival, peaceful and friendly vibe, no trouble and so many great bands. Didn't appreciate how good we had it at the time. And it was sooo hot that year.

My favorites are Teenage Angst, 36 Degrees, Lady of the Flowers, and Bionic. Bionic, Molko's guitar line is the first Placebo that I learned to play. Molko always looks good in white. Stefan is great. And I want those sunglasses. lol I love the slower version of 36 Degrees better. It's nice to see a very boyish Molko with pierced ears playing Teenage Angst. Lady of the Flowers is gorgeous as usual.
