This and Fix Yourself are both amazing and the best 2 on the album; Forever Chemicals, Happy Birthday In The Sky, Surrounded By Spies and Went Missing are all brilliant aswell, love the Sleeping With Ghosts vibe of the latter "Secret Destroyers Keep Away" giving off "Soulmates Never Die" nostalgia ❤️

This! I never thought a new album of any band after a so long carreer in the music industry and in that case Placebo could affect me in such a way. Most of late albums of all my favorite bands come out as blunt and I can sympathise in a sense as they grew out of their usual sound and musical identity. But in this case Placebo overcomposed a union of sounds and emotions and experiments over a simplified litany of their classic sound. And this track is everything that I never hoped I would get from listening to their album. So yeah, I get you. It's there. In the top 5 easily! I would dare say it might even be their single most powerful song.

@@MrNomadSpectre Neh. It's not their number 1. 'Follow the Cops Back Home' is by far the single greatest song ever made. It is pure eargasm. 'Pierrot the Clown', 'This Picture', 'Meds' (the calm Angkor Wat version), 'Twenty Years' ... Oh man, the list goes on and on !! Placebo are the best. I think maybe I'm landing on 'Chemtrails' somewhere around 5th or 6th, give or take. Anyway, each to their own. If you you liek this above all others, then it's a good choice.

This is probably my fav song of the album. I'm not necessarily sharing the feelings now, but I have so many times and I'm sure I will feel them some time in the future too. Placebo is one of the deepest bands, in my opinion. Love them so much!

Very much so. 2:39 the guitar is very shoegazey.. very 80s/90s. This whole album pays homage to Sonic Youth and The Cure. Quite beautiful how Brian keeps those styles and influences alive and is probably helping teach younger generations what real music is :)

@@Vic20294 C'est une chanson sur le dégout du Brexit et l'envie de quitter le RU. 'Chemtrails', ça serait pour les traces laissées par les avions dans le cie j'imaginel. Ce qu'en dit Brian : "Chemtrails est ma chanson sur le Brexit pendant le lockdown, je sentais que cette sorte de malheur imminent arrivait, et ce malheur imminent était le Brexit, vous savez, l'effet qu'il a eu sur chaque groupe dans ce pays a été très bien documenté. Donc en décembre 2020, je me suis retrouvé brutalisé psychologiquement par les démons jumeaux du coronavirus et du Brexit. Et j'étais tellement furieux et en colère que ça me rendait malade. Et j'ai décidé que je devais arrêter de vivre dans le problème et commencer à vivre dans la solution. Donc en février 2021, je suis partie et je ne vis plus ici. Je vis en Europe et je reviens ici pour le travail et Chemtrails était en quelque sorte mon "f*ck you". Mon "f*ck you" aux gens qui m'avaient en quelque sorte enlevé une partie de mon identité, une identité que j'ai passé toute ma vie à habiter et qui était d'être européen. J'ai donc quitté l'Angleterre à cause du Brexit et j'ai réécrit les paroles de cette chanson qui est devenue Chemtrails et qui parle de mon départ de cette île pour en trouver une autre où la société est un peu plus libre et moins chauvine, xénophobe et sociopathe. My family never agreed on much but placebo was common ground . My life has a placebo song for every moment . My mother took her life and the my sister died from a dirty needle . I have no words for how great it is to have music that describes the pain of this place . Took my sister to 2 palcebo concerts before she died at 22 . Best times she had I think . Life is short and some choose it that way . Make it matter .
