@mrnasdfgh The meaning of the kettle's verses? haha I think he is not trying to say SOMETHING about the kettle or its whistle, it's just a way to get you in the mood of the song. I for my myself find the lyrics very melancholic but most of all, it transmits loneliness. And the whistle in the cold light of the day transmits loneliness and sadness to me. But well, I can't be sure. This is my own interpretation.
