Hi bhaiya, I've scored 240 marks in bitsat, I'll get pilani manufacturing,chemical and Goa mechanical. I want to pursue in career in CS only so will i be able to switch into CS if I take any of these branches!? From placement point of view(in IT companies) is there any benefit if I choose mechanical over manufacturing and IT companies of how much average package allow students to sit for placements from manufacturing/mech ??

So answer Question 1. It is really tough you need 9.8 cg+ to do so. So you have to pull your socks and enter this branch and do a vertical transfer. Question2. IT companies want you to have knowledge of DSA and topics needed for placement and good Cg. That's it. You don't get any branch advantage in mechanical or manufacturing until you are in CSE. If you have good CG, you can sit for IT Companies if they all branches.

Why no lacement data is available in bits site. If you are hired for finance or product role will you work under MBA fellows. As I came to know that only software professionals/ coders are getting Idependent roles because the MBA managers may not be knowing the coding otherwise these MBA managers are placed above the BITS graduates. Kindly clarify the same.

Spot round is not a normal thing at bits. Last year was the first and probably the last time it happened. The reason it only happened last year is that bits counseling started way before josaa counseling, so people kept leaving bits and hence vacancies were filled via the spot round
