I've never understood embryology this well in the last 6 years of medical school ! Hands down the best explanation of everything in the 2 part video. Can't thank you enough. Mind blown by the beauty of human body and the complicated simplicity of creation.

Please answer one question of mine :) Layers that is crossed while entering into foetal blood vessel are - Syncitiotrophoblast Cytotrophoblast SOMATO PLEURIC EXTRA EMBRYONIC MESODERM ( not mesenchymal cells )? Sir pls answer as early as possible ....pleaseeeeeeeeee
@MedicoVisual4 ай бұрын
You are most welcome. These are the layers that are crossed while entering into fetal blood via placental membrane: 1. Thin Syncytiotrophoblast layer 2. Thin Mesenchymal core 3. Endothelium of blood vessels.
@pranjaljain33464 ай бұрын
@@MedicoVisual is mesenchymal core and somato pleuric extra embryonic mesoderm same or different ?
@MedicoVisual4 ай бұрын
@@pranjaljain3346 Yes, they are virtually the same. Extraembryonic somatopleuric mesoderm grows into the villi to form the mesenchymal core. To be precise, we can say that mesenchymal core is derived from the Extraembryonic somatopleuric mesoderm.

Everything is so well explained. I just have one question : the intervillious space is a blank space. Then when the septa gets inside, this provokes a loss in space in the intravillious space ? I dont understand how can the septa go through it and how the intravillious space remains its form... isnt suppose to collpase since there's no more cytotrophoblastic shell above the septa
@MedicoVisual Жыл бұрын
Thank you. I do not think the septas are large enough to fill the space completely.
Thank you so much for pointing this out. Yes, these are not umbilical blood vessels. These are maternal Uterine blood vessels
