The placenta attaches itself to the uterus and sends nutritious food to the baby through the umbilical cord.It can be in any region, anterior, posterior, or lateral. When the placenta is low, it can cause bleeding during strenuous activities. Doctors often ask pregnant mothers to take rest when experiencing bleeding.
