One of the most underrated KZbin channels. Keep going. You post more regularly, keep the same style and artistry, and you will be up past 100k subs within the next year or two. You got this. Just keep being you.

I find liminal spaces very comforting. I hate when people include monsters. They're missing the point. Monsters and jumpscares ruin the sophisticated bouquet of emotions one gets when viewing liminal spaces. Nostalgia, familiarity, comfort, discomfort, uncannyness, mystery, that feeling of a word "being on the tip of your tongue" but in location form.

Back in 2022, my mom had to have spinal surgery and I traveled to Cordova, Tn. to be with her and my dad. While she was still in the hospital after the surgery, she asked me and my dad to get her some take out from IHOP, The International House of Pancakes. We placed an order online and went to pick it up, entering into a completely empty IHOP. Not just the customers and staff; no music, staff, customers, even the cash register was missing. No place settings, condiments, syrups... NOTHING! My dad is standing next to me and we both feel this feeling of total, soul crushing unease at the mear concept of a empty IHOP. As luck would have it, we didn't No Clip, the restaurant wasn't allowing dine in service, so the staff hadn't set the tables or the house music. The cash register had been moved to the back, in case of theft and they were on a skeleton crew all in the back kitchen. My dad is a reformed drug dealer and gun runner. I'm a United States Marine. Neither of us thought we were afraid of anything, but in that space and time of total silence and isolation from humanity, we found only terror at the idea of being alone.😳

You and your Dad are not ready for Hell my man. The irony is that me, an overweight, unmarried, gamer loser who has accomplished nothing of note in his life will do better in Hell than you will, because I've spent my entire life being alone and surrounded by people who have only ever betrayed me. Meanwhile, all of that "discipline" and "self-mastery" you learned in the Marines will evaporate like steam when you come face-to-face with your first denizen of the Outside. It's gunna be rad, see ya there!

Oddly my liminal space dreams (nightmares) are bathroom themed Sounds funny but they are dark or low lit, empty rows of old showers and dirty toilets and something is always after me Same dream theme, different public bathrooms. Just creepy

Absolutely in love with your videos - I came in from the first cyberpunk video you did, and decided to stay. Not at all disappointed. I'm not sure about anyone else, but some liminal spaces, specifically the beautiful tiled pool room ones with lots of light, feel like home to me. I love looking at images of those because I feel like I *do* belong there.

I never knew it had a name but I always feel at ease or really calm when I come across such said place. It also reminds me of RE4 save area and they slightly melancholic music in the background, like the feeling that you might be safe for now but you know you have to back out there back into the real world

Have you ever been in a dream where all you can see is the top line of trees? And your on this long stretch road?... The moon, which can't even be seen, is lighting the tree tops, allowing you to see that you only have one way to walk- straight ahead..... Suddenly, you start getting chased by unseen demons and witches?....

here's one i've actually seen in my dreams: it's an empty white room with a singular chair in the corner, one you'd find in waiting rooms. to the left is a wooden door that leads back outside. in front is one of those large store windows with double glass doors showing a view of a dimly lit hallway (it merges into the hallway, you only see a wall from inside). to the right is a solid wall with another glass door, but just one this time. this one led to what looks like an open mall-like area.

To someone who has lived their entire life around people, a liminal space is horrifying. To someone who has spent most or their entire life in social isolation, a liminal space is home.

Ok, so I watched a backrooms video two years ago that was made in gta and the video shows some policial officer in a house when suddenly he no-clips into the yellow tinted backrooms, then now Pixels made the masterpiece sci-fi backrooms, and yet I was thinking why is this concept so interesting, what it has that is creepy and at the same time thrive curiosity. Very nice description of backrooms and liminal spaces: the uncanney valley of human spaces. That is a good enough definition that it shows that there is no popular backroom spin-off with a place that have no similarity to anything we see, in order to the liminal space be scary, it has to be very similar to something we see everyday and recognize but at the same time lacking important features and logic, like the nonsense repetition and/or unpratical stuff like unusable stairs and doors leading to nothing. I'm looking forward for your 'series' about the backrooms.
