I like the new tiles. Dark or monochrome patterns are not necessarily gothic. It looks great in your kitchen. Perhaps you were influenced by other colors that are part of your home. Black and grey would be easier to keep clean. The color of your walls will probably have some degree of grey as well. Am I right? Thanks for the informative video. Beautiful work.

Thanks for the comments , I wanted to say chaotic, must be my accent. Yes I try to stick to 3 colors max in a room The kitchen is black , white and Grey for the walls... not sure if white and black is a color lol..

I consider black and white colors but if a person is colorblind, they see only in shades of black and white so perhaps I shouldn’t consider these colors. Difficult to define without using the word color. Don’t photographers tend to appreciate black and white due to sharper contrasts? Good luck on the painting.

I have seen too many installs of tile over sheetrock fail miserably after a few years. I would never install over drywall but use concrete board such as Durorock or some such. Nothing with paper in it for sure and nothing even in concrete without an integral reinforcement. I was kind of surprised seeing all the quality work you have done in the past to see you putting tiles over sheetrock, especially damaged sheetrock.

Thanks Doug, well the sheetrock is the water resistant type and attached to a stone wall, yes you are right if I had to do it from the start , I would use that durorock or cement board as you stated. Thanks for the comments

Good observation, for some of the plugs ( those that 90 degree angled) , I like to point them horizontal easier to pull out... but its a choice I made.
