Placing frames of beeswax in the brood box

In this video, Reinertsen shows us the process of placing building-wax in the brood box of a Langstroth hive. We inspect two hives that each need their own unique care; we look at the amount of bees, whether brood has recently hatched or not, and how symmetrical the construction of the frames are. Due to a recent cold snap, Reinertsen also tells us about the effects of high or low temperature on both the bees and our work as beekeepers.
