Best advice is to always be ontop of your finances and never let your guards down when it comes to trusting your partner. Some marriages don't last a lifetime but only halfway. It is ok to love, trust but everyone fall out of love. Do not put your all into and not pay attention to what's going on with your home. Once your husband start stepping out and the lies and cheating start you need to cut off the support and separate your finances.

For real! I heard so many stories where the wife failed to check on their money and when she does, it’s all gone. Now a day you don’t need to go to the bank to check your account. Just go on line and I hope more older women will use this route to check their bank accounts.

@missysmart8620 is very true. There are banking apps that you can install on your phone, and it'll notify you when there are activities on your checking account or credit cards, or debit card. You can also request that the bank notify you and require a two party signature for any withdrawal that is higher than $1,000. But the best advice is to have a separate account and one joint account that both parties put the same equal amount every month to take care of household expenses.
