As I predicted in 2015 and showed in 2018, the trend is definitely showing a major benefit to being on Plan N in the future.
1) Plan G is now absorbing the "Guarantee Issue" folks that they cannot reject, based on the new MACRA law that started 01/01/2020.
2) At Open Enrollment (turning 65), healthy people are seeing the value of Plan N and signing up for that plan.
Meanwhile, the less-than-healthy folks that visit the doctor far more often are signing up for Plan G.
This is causing a healthier population, backed up by claims data, on Plan N vs. Plan G being used by the folks that go to the providers far more often.
These two factors are predicted to get worse in the future.

My Plan N premium did NOT go up in 2021 over 2020, even though I was diagnosed and had treatment for Colorectal Cancer! The hospital bill for surgery alone was $57K, but all was covered except for the $198 deductible. Listen to this guy: I would have been bankrupt already if I had chosen another Supplement.

This is the best explanation I have heard yet, for the differences in plans G and N. I myself plan to choose Plan N when I retire next summer. Respectfully, as someone who has worked in the medical billing industry most of my life, I think it would be a good idea when explaining this not to say, "this plan pays EVERYTHING, or this plan pays EVERYTHING except..., " since, if I am correct both of these plans do not pay the Medicare Part B deductible. Can't tell you how many people call complaining about a bill they got because they think their plan pays everything. Thank you.

I’ve been on planF from the beginning I have every disease withe the exceptional cancer . I take 33 medications daily, open heart surgery twice 10 days apart, lung disease,kidney disease, diabetic one the pump, neuropathy, and I don’t feel that I am being overcharged by the insurance company. It has pained for everything and the premium hasn’t gone up all that much. I will stay on plan F because of what you just described about plan G going up.

I had been called from the big "school" of Medicare, that participates in scare tactics through fast talk & exaggerated graphics. I was not informed there is a plan N. When I asked about it, he said, "We don't really sell any of those." 😅 He was perturbed I said I wanted to wait until I looked at the literature. He tried entering info to get me signed up with AARP in advance so when I was called the next time, he only had to click on SOLD. 😂 I never took his call after listening to your & one other agents video. You are able to make this seemingly difficult information easy to understand with your great down to earth explanations and your genuine concern for the "geritol generation" which I am now a part of. I was on disability since 2012, and called Medicare to find out what I had to do when I turned 65..they gave me bad info, and in the meantime I had changed addresses and informed them 2 times about the change...I got no paperwork to look at and with the given bad info I am now in the part D monthly forever penalty box...not only did Medicare not give me the correct information, I had the bad luck of being sent to a ill informed and lazy agent.. FInally found a wonderful independent agent here in NM that steered me down the right path....sure wish I had found your channel 11 months ago though....I am now trying to decide whether to keep my plan G or go with N. Fortunately I got on Plan N from the beginning of my enrollment. My agent took the time to explain what Plan N was,and how it might affect me going forward. The premium seems to go up a small amount each year, but nothing like the amounts you are talking about. Is there any safeguard in my plan as to the premiums and rate hikes? I have no complaints about my current setup. I don't plan on changing. My wife is a medical biller, and through her talking about the hassles she has when dealing with these companies, I have come to despise Ins Cos. They don't really seem to care who they are screwing with their policies. Only the bottom line matters. Customers are a dime a dozen.

When I changed plans Plan N was never mentioned. I now have Plan G, I am 85, have not seen my Dr. for 5-6 yr. except for a spider bite. I take no meds, eat a Keto diet, am mobile and take supplements. Plan N sounds great. Blessings

Thanks for sharing. Not at all surprised that most agents are not talking about Plan N. Understand that Medicare insurance agents are paid a percentage of the PREMIUM you pay, as their income. If they talk about a less expensive plan, and sell those plans, their income is 20% to 30% lower than if they sold a Plan G. Also, Plan N is not as quick and easy to explain, as Plan G is. So, there's time saved by not explaining it, and higher income by not explaining it. We don't go that route. Chris
