I’m not a mom, but have mom friends. Noticed that people tend to forget about the moms once they have children. The gifts, the fun activities and all the other stuff become catered to the children. So I prioritize my friend over her kids. Moms need to be remembered!

Do you have any recommendations on what to get mom friends. My friend is the only mom I know and she just had her son Last November 2020. I have no idea what to get her.
@a33m3a3 жыл бұрын
@@MarkitaD get her a gift without thinking of it as a "mom gift". she's her own person with her own hobbies, preferences etc. just get her what she likes
@AjaDang2 жыл бұрын
that's a good point!
@amyflip3 жыл бұрын
Hi Aja! If I may give you an advice, for your friend who just had a kid, maybe you can give your friend a gift specifically for her. I think newly moms forget about themselves and it would be nice for them to get something for themselves and not for the kids. Just a thought 😊

My roundtrip direct flight from Madrid to Chicago for the holidays was super inexpensive, too. I think airlines are still trying to recover from the COVID travel slump. Flights will never be this cheap again.

was sorting out my own holiday budget when this video came up! This is also the first year I am able to fully fund my holiday sinking fund! And for someone who has to travel across country to visit family for Christmas, YES! sinking fund save my wallet and I can see myself enjoy my time with them free from anxiety.

I created a Christmas/Gifts sinking fund last year and all of my 2021 gifts are purchased and paid for without the lingering credit card debt - it's so freeing! I still have money left over to use for any last minute fun christmas activities.

Love this! I overestimated my Christmas budget since people seem to want simpler things this year so I added some goodies to everyone's gifts and I still have some left. I'm either gonna gift myself something next year or I'm just gonna throw it to my misc savings. I love not getting overwhelmed with all the Holiday expenses this year

Maybe order in NYE dinner from local people like you ordered during Covid to help companies. A good bottle of champagne, that sushi bake, and other take out goodies...have a small party at your place where friends bring a favourite take out thing from a local place. You all get to try new places and it is not all on you. While watching this I planned my sinking funds for next year and the day I will have them funded by.

Every year my Christmas budget is between $700 and $800, which includes cost of my flight, gifts, and fun money. I visit my parents and get to stay with them so I don’t have to worry about paying for a hotel :) I decided for myself that any spending I do for thanksgiving and New Years has to come out of my regular monthly budget. I know this going into November and December so it helps me stay on track during the last few months of the year :) I rarely travel for those two holidays and I don’t ever host anything so it doesn’t make sense for me to have a separate budget! Also: I can’t believe plane tickets were that cheap fro you!! I’m guessing it’s because Hawaii still has travel restrictions. Flights to where my parents live normally run $300-$400 and right now they’re going for $600+ it’s bonkers! I tracked the prices and found a 1 day price drop and so I was able to stay within budget but plane ticket prices are all over the place this year
