Hobby lobby has a great circle protractor/ruler thing that turns in circles and you just put your pencil in the point and spin. I believe I found it in the drafting section. It won't make the circles as big as you need them but it's phenomenal for ones like your first mood tracker.

Enjoyed the video. That’s the good thing I have realised about the bullet journal, if you don’t do it for a few days, you can easily pick it up again. No waste, unlike a journal which would have wasted pages. X

I love my bullet journal! It's so creative and freeing. I don't feel confined. I do a monthly exercise log, content calendar/log and habit tracker. I tried doing a monthly goals page, but it just doesn't function for me, neither do weekly layouts. I still love doing my pre-planned weekly layouts in my Happy Planner. Then I use that as a reference for my daily pages in my BuJo. I am also going to explore using my BuJo to do lesson planning when school starts back next month.

I know it's hard to not get caught up in how it looks, because I fall trap to that at times, also. But you said it's working for you and that is what matters the most. Once you get more comfortable branch out and make spreads that are your own. It's trial and error, but once you find your groove, creating your own spreads that work make you love bullet journaling even more. 😊

Thank you so much for this video! I've been watching your videos for years and have to say motherhood suits you. I love that you included the fact that your first mandala attempt wasn't what you'd envisioned. It's so easy to get caught up in perfection and do nothing for fear of making a mistake... at least it is for me (I'm working on that - haha). I'm a teacher so have not been doing my normal planning this summer. But, in Georgia teachers go back to school July 31st, so it's time to get back to it! I've been using a Hobonichi most recently for bullet journal, but I think I'll have to start saving for a cover for my Leuchtturm 1917. :-)

Instead of using white out you can use the cream tape (I don't know what it's called but its cream and feels somewhat like paper) though I believe that it's the one they used to put on someone when they had just had their blood drawn.... Just something to try and cover your mistakes and try and blend into the paper of the journal ....
@WithWonder7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip but I seriously don't mind that the white out stands out. All part of embracing the imperfect!
@breid22547 жыл бұрын
I am enjoying watching your BUJO journey. Seriously impressed with your use of protractor and compass, but it made me slightly anxious as it reminded me of maths class in school. I was the worst student in the class!!! You are so artistic in how you design your pages, they look so good. I love the idea of a free form structure that you can design to suit your needs. Unsure if I can make it work for me....suspect my life would descend into utter chaos without the structured layout of my current planner inserts. I use a personal sized ring bound planner with week on two page inserts to keep track of appointments/bills etc. If I have a big to do list that needs more space, I insert a blank page and remove it when all tasks are completed. It's interesting to see a different way of planning and I may try the BUJO method for work.
@WithWonder7 жыл бұрын
It's certainly a less structured way to plan and definitely not for everyone. I've been using some form of a planner since I was in high school so I've had a lot of time to get comfortable with what I like in a planner which I believe makes the bullet journal a bit more accessible, at least for me.

So glad you are continuing this series. I need to know more about this type of planning, I will finish up my EC as it was a gift, but this System really intrigues me. I feel guilty when I didn't fill my pgs. When I was caring for my father, right before he passed....but honestly life was such a blur....and my EC was to big to bring ....I did grab a small spiral notebook that contains my daily heartbreak and to do list. It's looking great Jen! That TN cover is *gorgeous*, isn't it? A Question: At the top of your daily pages, what's the bars with numbers represent?
@WithWonder7 жыл бұрын
That's a time bar...it's another tip I got from Boho Berry. I use it to think about the timing of my day before I start planning. Each color represents a different kind of activity - blue = sleep, green = family time, pink = work, etc. It helps me visualize my day before I start planning. It's actually really helping me make more realistic to-do lists.
