🏰Channel memberships! ☁ Hi everyone! As this was my first video testing out the early-access-to-videos thing for my Handlettered Heroes, I'm learning a lot... unfortunately KZbin doesn't actually have the functionality to make a video members-only, then automatically publish it as public after a period. And you all know how much I like to schedule content! I'm also a little concerned this model might hurt my channel in the long run, so I've decided to switch this Handlettered Heroes perk from early access to videos, to access to a private discord server where we can all hang out, chat about journals and stationery, and keep building this wonderful and kindhearted community! I absolutely loved this spread soooo much. June is actually my birthday month and this theme is EXACTLY my aesthetic. I love this Soo much and again the voice over was just MWAH!. You might love it Emily! I go back and forth on watercolour in my journal - I don’t like how the paper with the watercolour feels under my hand so I tend to keep it away from the parts of the page I actually use 😅

Watching now, and my partner got the first few minutes of your video. He said, and I agree, that you have a pleasant Aussie voice to listen too. Not oka or nasally or rough, hehe. He didn’t believe me when I said you’re from Brissy because he thinks that Brissy folks have a specific accent, and not a nice one. I find your voice a nice change from the all too common USA accents that flood YT. And love your bujo art too 😊

@@veroniquecastel9582 Ohh Veronique this is so lovely! As far as the nasality goes, I've worked hard on that - years of soft palette control in singing lessons haha! I didn't grow up in Brisbane, so that might explain not having the Brissy accent, but my hometown is only about an hour's drive away so maybe not?? Haha I have no idea!

So beautiful and whimsical. This is the exact sticker set I picked out for my June.. I won't be doing any water colours, but what a coincidence! 😂 I'm setting up June, July and August, and moving into my second bujo for the year, because we're moving apartments over the next couple of months, and I'm changing jobs, so I don't expect to have much time for set up level journaling starting in June. Any thoughts on summer layout colours?

Oh Becka we'll match! I love that! I adore your dedication, setting up in advance - I did that too for Jan, Feb and March back in December when I knew I'd be away! As far as summer layout colours, there's something about light purple, sage green and yellow together that's making me picture ice cream and sunscreen right now!

It’s not been easy doing this all in advance, especially with this being my first year keeping a bujo, but I already had a month where I only did a layout half way and it makes me sad to see it… so I want to avoid it happening again!

This is the most beautiful spread I have ever seen!!! How long does it take for the paint to dry?

It’s pretty quick, just a few minutes usually! On 160GSM paper it’s best to try not to use much water to avoid buckling the paper, and that helps it dry faster too! I did bust out a hairdryer a few times though to speed things up 😅

A Court of Thorns and Roses! You don't get to visit the Court of Dreams until book two though (which is called a Court of Mist and Fury)
