A good tip on mood trackers is to make "good" emotions the darkest most vibrant colours so they are the once you notice first.

Some food for thought: - some people must contend with being at home in isolation all the time. I rarely get out of my house due to mobility problems with arthritis and vertigo. - sketching, drawing, doodling can be a goal into itself. Instead of taking a small bit of time to set-up for the coming month, consider building on the monthly drawing daily as a goal. I will use your cluster of 30 flowers as a daily goal. I will pencil in the circles and draw each flower daily. - On crappy days when my hands don't work it will be spirals and doodle flowers. - On days when I can spend more time, I'll make more elaborate flowers, probably, no definitely, going back to previous videos and adding what is for me a more complicated drawing session, namely peonies and lilacs, my two favourite flowers that I really need to practice. - My monthly set-up days tend to be more "finishing" time. Before I set up the monthly title page, I'll go back and finish anything from the month coming to an end. Keeping with this cluster flower page as an example, that's where I'll go back and finish the white gel pen and black leaves. If I haven't done it already! LOL - I always set up the Dutch Door page and do the mini calendar. Well, that's not true either, there have been some months that I've just set the month name as a title block in the middle of the page I'm on and keep going. Some months I've just pencilled in a rectangle and left it blank. Then that title block becomes my daily add-on drawing where I go back on good days and add new flowers or a wreath or a leafy border. My goal is to have a Dutch Door Monthy Page for each month. Maybe next year LOL

May was not completed or started however since I purchased so many Baron Fig items, I got the Pocket has turned into a mini journal and my new password notebook, the old one fell apart. Another one of these pocket ones I can carry with me to jot down thoughts that help me out with life, quite a bit of the past is coming out and I'm finding there is nothing wrong with me. And keep up, so many have good cheering words for you both and when you are as motivated as you were before the siege, this time shows the world we all do like to see each other and this time tells us prepare for needs. I told my daughter try not to spend all your paycheck prepare prepare prepare, before this happened that was last summer.

Hi Shayda - I love your June spread. Every page has meaning and that’s so important during this time. The mood and gratitude pages are exactly what we need to focus on. Staying positive is a struggle for a lot of people and with those tools it will be much easier to do so. June is my birthday month and I must say it is my favorite one so far. It truly does have meaning and focus - so Great Job Shayda! You are an inspiration to us all. I just love listening to you talk. It always makes me happy. You are definitely going in my gratitude journal since I don’t do a spread like you use. Unrelated to this month's journal page, but would you do a Shayda Short on the lettering style where you write a word with a gray marker & then add some lines with a black fine liner? My bullet journal is all about improving my drawing. I use Shayda's videos as tutorials and practice the ones I like over and over again. I especially love this month's cluster of flowers and will just draw in the circles and add a flower every day. I have some truly awful peonies in my journal but as I flip through from June last year I can really see the improvement. That motivates me to keep going. - What I did, in the beginning, was to pick one flower that I liked and practice it. I can quickly and easily slap in a little four-petaled flower and little bubble drop leaves now. I use the slow-motion feature a LOT when I'm starting a new flower and watch it over and over again until I get the motion right, then practice, practice, practice. - I have a separate journal for practicing hand lettering but I find it boring, don't do it enough, and haven't progressed much. LOL - One thing that has really helped, much to my surprise, is doing repetitive pattern drawing. It has significantly improved my pen control and line control. I have one favourite pattern, Cadent, that I draw over and over again. I can tell when I'm having a bad hand day and it's sloppy vs. a day when I have better hand function and it turns out brilliant.

I'm almost 45. I'm a "natural artist" ... I have been into/affected by art, my Whole life. As a Very Early writer, lol, I was Drawing letters before age 2, according to my parents. I was drawing clothes on my stick figures before I was in any kind of school. I have Always used art as a way to communicate. I can draw myself into or out of most moods. I quit art school, because, when I was in- the Rules were too much. It was Hindering my art. I Did study Art History and Appreciation, later on in life... that was my Favorite course set! I was taught to do roses with spirals, by a great-uncle, when I was around 6 years old. It's My Favorite way to do roses, And. My Go-To, if I'm in a slump. I don't draw Realistic people or animals... but, I draw, paint, sculpt, create, Everything 'my way' without concern today. I enjoy your videos, and you Are inspiring me to do when I'd rather ignore.
