Thank you for the valuable points, for me stradle planche is the goal, but i always get discouraged to train for it, because it is so hard for me. (180 cm, 95 kg). Did you benefit from training planche with bands?

I'm using bands right now and I'm seeing lots of progress. I'm doing protraction holds and pulses with them to train the straight arm strength

Yes something I should have added in this video. Bands are a great way to add more time or explore harder positions

Can you do a video explaining the correct shoulder external rotation as I find myself closing myself off with my arms keeping them inwards rather than utilizing my forearm and my lats/shoulders. My rear delts always get overworked

Scapula Push Ups and Planche Leans are awesome for exploring correct set up plus bulding the perfect base for the harder progressions. Explore slight differences with hands/bar rotation and width as everyone is different. More vids to come

Hey Paul, I've built up a solid tuck planche my maximum hold would be 15s but I do 5x10s. What I'd like to know is how to bridge the gap between tuck and Adv. Tuck? Would banded dynamics moving from tuck to adv. be the best option if I cant hold the Adv. Tuck yet?

HSPU are easy. Planche will take you several years if you even achieve it.

Planche is way harder than handstand pushups

Planche is more difficult, but you can achieve it within a year with proper training. Clean handstand pushups take a third of the time

Hard to say as it depends on which levels of each you're working towards. HSPU would normally be easier to work through the progressions and because each step is quite different you feel/see the progress.

Holding your progression for months is not the most optimal way to train.

Yes I’d slowly adjust progressions by opening the body out from Tuck, Advanced Tuck, Frog, Straddle, Half Lay etc.

@@PaulTwyman There are other exercises which are really great. Like pseudo planche push ups, planche leans, hs push ups, etc.
