Don’t worry, it’s normal for planes to go around or abort landing sometimes. It happens if there is another aircraft on the runway (in this case), and it can also happen if the weather is bad. So guys don’t worry. Planes go around sometimes ✈️ So people stop overreacting!

This seems to be a problem with air traffic control. The Quantas jet should have been told earlier there was plane on the runway so the aborted landing would not have been attempted.

It's a standard proceedure, nothing "terrifying" about it. So yes, they were all safe.

It happened to me at Heathrow a few years ago always a bit odd if it is the first time , and it was the same reason, another aircraft on the runway, we were very close to the ground but the pilot powered up and went around .

It's not all about the abilities of the pilot, the condition of the plane is also a factor. The point is that runway should be free when another plane is about to land. They were in safe hands. Qantas has very, very skilled pilots. Give it a month and you will get the recording between ATC and the pilot floating on aviation channels on KZbin.

I travel back and forth to the high Arctic and landings are frequently aborted sometimes even turning around and flying 3 hours back to airport of origin. The weather is always horrible though.

Given that this is from the palace, it was nice that they told us, and yeah it's pretty terrifying told you're going to land then suddenly ascend again. Cant imagine being pregnant.
