Saturday, one of the busiest days at Enugu as every airline that flys to Enugu have operates on Saturdays. Like Ethiopian that fly three times a week, Saturdays are one of those three weekly rotations.
I tried doing a dawn to dusk plane spotting I got tired along the way.

Honestly dude, great work...seriously! As a student at Ecumenical secondary school Thinkers corner, I remember when we used to come spotting in the mid 90s. Back then it was just Triax B727 and Okada BAC 1-11s. Once in a while we might get treated to Nigerian Airways 737-2Adv or Oriental airlines BAC 1-11. In those days you'd be lucky to get 4 flights a day (2 departures in the morning, 1 arrival/departure midday and another arrival in the late evening. I counted approximately 10 arrivals in just 6 hours....how times have changed.

Times have really changed especially after the airport was shutdown in 2019 for an overhaul of the runway. When it reopened 2020, it got even busier as 5 domestic airlines now fly to Enugu compared to just 2 prior to the shutdown plus 1 international airline. Christmas season is as busy as it gets, with Air Peace operating with their B777 and every other airline increasing their frequencies. I really hope more airlines both domestic and international starts flying to Enugu.

Oh my! Thank you very much. Honestly, this means a lot to me! Unfortunately, I can’t be making them daily cause I have others things going on with business and school. I don’t work at the airport, I just make out time to go there and create these videos and that is during the weekend which most times get very busy as well for me. You r video has improved. Just like you said , I don't like bombardier airplane ,I fly them (Dana) 2008 and I didn't enjoy it. And also propeller engine flight they are not stable in the air . I fly 737-800 with arik and I enjoyed it.

Thank you for your feedback! You mean the McDonnell yeah? Cause Dana flys McDonnell not Bombardier. Propeller engine; that’s because they fly at much lower altitude and they are very light. I’ve flown with Arik Air in their N737-800 too, great flight but wrong aircraft type for the Nigerian market if you ask me.

Green Africa with their Molue bus 😏 I heard that a flight ✈️ from Lagos to Abuja normally 45mins takes them 2hrs 30mins with their airline.

Lmao! That’s just exaggeration tho 😅 It’s takes them an average 1hr 30mins. Their aircraft type is a turboprop and it’s not as fast as a jet aircraft and flies at much lower altitude hence the increased flight time.

Yeah fuel scarcity is one reason. But even before the fuel scarcity, they were too erratic in their operations.

Yes, Enugu airport has night landing facilities. It was part of the upgrade it got when the airport was shutdown in 2019. Yes, only Ethiopian Airline for now. I don’t think Enugu airport has the capacity to handle even another airline. Even a domestic airline. If the international terminal building is completed, we would probably see more international airlines.
